Natural forests are the habitat of many plant and animal species main source genetic reserves. In addition to preserving biodiversity, play an important role in livelihood income indigenous communities. But, last few decades, due lack proper management beneficiaries, they have been exposed destruction, so that their protection requires participation all members society, especially local people. Therefore, goal this research was discover determinant factors on intention communities protect Iran. An extended theory planned behavior (TPB) by adding variables "risk perception" (RP) "sense belonging place" (SBP) used as theoretical framework research. This done using questionnaire survey method with help structural equation modeling (SEM). The statistical population study included rural living Arasbaran (located northwest Iran). findings indicated original TPB explains 66.9% variance behavioral intentions locals toward forest protection. three constructs attitude, perceived control (PBC) subjective norms (SN), which had positive effects Most importantly, including RP SBP increases ability model explain 11.8%. study, variable identified most factor, it is suggested policy-makers field increase relation destruction communication media. In the Shatt Al-Arab basin, soil erosion is a major problem due to steepness of terrain and significant difference in altitude between upstream downstream parts basin. Vast quantities are moved annually, resulting massive repercussions including degradation, structural damage, biodiversity loss, productivity reduction catchment area, huge sediment load, pollution streams rivers. Consequently, assessment risk geographical distribution essential for constructing database developing effective control strategies. Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) was combined with Remote Sensing (RS) Geographic Information System (GIS) current work define hazard map The RUSLE model included various characteristics zonation rainfall erosivity, erodibility, slope length steepness, land cover management, conservation support practices. Annual rates this study tons per hectare were: extremely high (more than 50); very (50 16.5); (16.5 2.2); medium (2.2 1); low (1 0) ton ha−1year−1 representing 16, 4, 13, 7, 60 % basin’s respectively. loss associated heavy rainfall, loamy predominance, elevated terrains/plateau borders steep side slope, intensive farming. In recent years, biodiversity in Iran has been exposed to serious threats due the farmers' unordinary behaviors, including extensive use of chemicals, land-use changes, and destruction natural habitats. The basic concept present research is discover underlying constructs intention conserve at farm level. This adopts Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) uses its extended version, which moral norms environmental concerns have included, as theoretical framework. this study, data collection done by survey method through a questionnaire that analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling technique (SEM). target population consists all farmers from Bavi County Khuzestan province southwest Iran. findings indicated variables, attitude (γ: 0.164 Sig: 0.001), perceived behavioral control 0.136 subjective 0.278 0.292 0.192 significant positive effect on towards protection. addition, it was shown version TPB can improve capacity explain 22%. Rangeland are one of the most important natural habitats for protection living and non-living organisms. Degradation rangeland is biggest threats to biodiversity loss. Ranchers’, as key stakeholders who have a direct relationship with rangelands, put lot pressure on sector in recent years, so that this habitat has been destroyed. Therefore, existing rangelands must be preserved protect biodiversity. One strategies change behavior ranchers friendly ecological behaviors environment. In regard, study was conducted general aim explaining ranchers’ conservation western Iran. The main research tool questionnaire whose validity confirmed by panel experts its reliability Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. study, value-belief-norm (VBN) used identify variables. results showed different egoistic cause destruction habitat. addition, framework an efficient theory because it explains 53.9% behavior. The environmentally responsible behavior of urban forest visitors is a key determinant for the conservation forests. Identifying determinants individuals’ behavioral intentions and actual in engaging actions crucial step promoting such behavior. This research investigates Tehran using Social Cognitive Theory.
