Biomedical signals are extremely difficult to analyze, mainly due the non-stationary nature of these signals. Filtering does not always bring desired results, because often information is filtered out. In case EEG signals, smoothing filters gave very good results. this paper, various types for analysis infrared spectroscopy were compared.

Magnetic resonance imaging in fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) children showed altered connectivity, suggesting underlying deficits networks, which may be related to cognitive outcome. Functional connectivity has been of interest neurophysiological research with quantitative electroencephalography (QEEG) as useful tool for measuring pathology, not detectable by normal EEG. The aim this study was investigate differences the EEG interhemispheric coherence (ICoh) diagnosed FASD compared healthy controls and relate results scores.

We can obtain valuable information about the human brain using functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). This paper describes theoretical basis associated with this neuroimaging method through a custom-made prototype of single-channel fNIRS device. The optodes were soldered to milled Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and enclosed in 3D printed housing. Using device, we performed preliminary study measure emotional responses from participants. Our results suggest that allows for accurate measurement emotions evoked by positive negative images.
