Background Existing studies on the association between composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) and all-cause mortality are controversial. We aimed to analyze of CDAI with mortality, determine influence gender this association. Methods The data adult participants (age ≥ 18) from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) cycles spanning 2001 2018 were analyzed. NHANES-issued identifiers for enabled linkage NHANES Public Use Linked Mortality File. Results study encompassed a sample 15,651 individuals. mean was 0.52 ± 6.06. restricted cubic spline revealed that hazard ratio (HR) decreased significantly increasing CDAI. However, negative existed only when less than 5. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed compared first quartile, HR in third fourth quartiles (both p < 0.001), -value trend test <0.001. In subgroup analysis, notably strong risk observed men ( interaction <0.001). Conclusion Higher is associated reduced exclusively males, underscoring substantial relationship.

Background This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Composite Dietary Antioxidant Index (CDAI) and prevalence of Parkinson’s disease (PD), as well explore its with all-cause mortality risk in PD patients. Methods Data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database spanning 2007 2018 were used, including 119,609 participants. After excluding individuals aged <18 years, those incomplete follow-up data, missing critical variables such CDAI covariates, final cohort consisted 34,133 Participants categorized into a group (510 individuals) non-PD (33,623 individuals). The values calculated, participants divided three groups based on tertile distribution their scores: Q1 (CDAI < −1.07), Q2 (−1.07 1.74), Q3 >1.74). Weighted logistic regression weighted Cox analyses employed evaluate associations PD, risk. Restricted cubic spline analysis was used further elucidate precise outcome events. Results significantly lower compared group. adjusting for age, sex, comorbid conditions (hypertension diabetes), blood lipid glucose levels, reduction associated an increased (Q3 vs. Q1, OR = 0.72, p 0.035). In patients decrease higher HR 0.53, 0.018). association particularly pronounced over 60 years old, smokers, hypertension. identified <0.471 factor <0.527 Conclusion is independent both general population patients, amplified predictive power older adults, hypertensive individuals. Our findings support developing personalized antioxidant-enhancing nutritional interventions high-risk populations suboptimal established

Background The relationship between CDAI and suicidal ideation is unclear. This study investigates the examines association all-cause mortality (ACM) or cardiovascular disease (CVM) among participants with without ideation. Methods Data from seven NHANES cycles (2005–2018) were analyzed using cross-sectional prospective cohort studies. Weighted multivariable logistic regression models, restricted cubic spline (RCS) plots, subgroup analyses explored Kaplan–Meier (KM) curves, weighted Cox proportional hazards RCS assessed CVM ACM. Results Among 30,976 aged over 20, 1,154 (3.72%) had Higher levels (Quartile 4) associated a 28% reduction in compared to lower 1). Over an average follow-up of 89 months, 3,267 (7.6%) died, including 808 (1.8%) causes. linked 30, 68, ACM total population, those ideation, without, respectively. was reduced by 40% population 41% Conclusion negatively correlated

Background The potential beneficial health effects of dietary antioxidants have been reported. However, the association a composite antioxidant index (CDAI) with fatty liver (FLI) remains unclear. This study aims to assess whether CDAI (including its components) is associated FLI among US adults. Methods population-based cross-sectional used data on adults from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2007–2018 cycles. Weighted generalized linear regression models were analyze between vitamin A, C, E, zinc, selenium, carotenoids) FLI, which was calculated by using body mass (BMI), waist circumference levels γ -glutamyl transferase triglycerides. Results showed an inverse in total population ( β , −0.40; 95% CI, −0.59, −0.21), women (β, −0.56; −0.94, −0.18), men −0.32; −0.54, −0.10) after adjusting for various confounders. restricted cubic splines negative dose–response associations (all P non_linear >0.05). selenium intake has U-shaped relationship inflection point value 110 μg. In model 3, Vitamins carotenoids significantly negatively female but only vitamins A E male. subgroup analysis, relation those aged 60 years or older −0.57; −0.81, −0.33), who engaged active physical activity −0.46; −0.63, −0.29), without metabolic syndrome −0.43; −0.62, −0.24), hyperuricemia −0.60, −0.26). Additionally, male regardless they had diabetes not. Conclusion conclusion, our results indicate that higher may be lower FLI.
