ABSTRACT Background and Aim Functional gastrointestinal disorders such as chronic constipation (CC) diarrhea (CD) impose a significant burden on global healthcare resources. Food insecurity, crucial social determinant of health, remains unclearly associated with CC CD. We aim to explore the association between food insecurity CD, its impact all‐cause mortality among participants abnormal bowel health. Methods used data from National Health Nutrition Survey 2005–2010. assessed using Household Security Module, including CD CC, was evaluated fecal characteristics movement frequency Bowel Questionnaire. Finally, 13 199 were included. Results A total 15.26% (2014) experienced insecurity. Multivariate analysis revealed that higher proportion (odds ratio [OR]: 1.24, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.02–1.52, p = 0.03), especially in women. did not exhibit (OR: 1.10, CI: 0.86–1.40, 0.41). Furthermore, significantly linked patients 1.59, 1.01–2.50, 0.046) 2.01, 1.20–3.46, 0.01). Conclusions Assessing insecurity's health is for policy formulation risk identification. Research should links or severity, treatment, psychosocial aspects improve patient quality life.

Background: Chronic constipation is a well-recognized complication which caused by hard and/or infrequent defecation. According to estimates, presents as chronic illness affecting 16% of adults globally, who deal with insufficient bowel movements that cause discomfort, bloating, or sensation incomplete bowel. Objectives: This review looks at the many local and systemic factors contribute pathogenesis causative, including dietary habits, genetic factors, colon function absorption, social economic lifestyle, biological drug factors. Results: Appropriate diagnostic management modalities are cornerstone in patients constipation. However, there still controversies regarding timing these approaches. condition common reduces quality life represents burden on any healthcare system. In clinical practice, it remains problematic, physicians most time indecisive therapy administer what time. Conclusions: Constipation new topic was introduced over decade ago purpose this study shed some light onto problems modern day techniques can be used treat patients, primarily through behavioural, conservative, medical, surgical means. Additionally, particular conjunction an algorithm designed enhance support practice.

Background Cardiorespiratory health issues often intersect. This study explored the relationship between lung and recently updated Cardiovascular Health Measure (Life’s Essential 8). Methods Data from 2007–2018 National Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were analyzed. Three cohorts included: disease in Main cohort ( N = 9,772), function Spirometry sub-cohort 3,896), respiratory symptoms Respiratory Symptoms (Age > 40) 3,449). LE8 scores used as both continuous categorical variables (0–49, 50–79, 80–100). Weighted multivariate regression analyses examined correlations health, weighted restricted cubic spline (RCS) analyzed potential non-linear relationships. Subgroup analysis was conducted to verify stability. Results Overall better high group than low group. In fully adjusted model, had significantly lower odds of asthma (OR 0.42; 95% CI 0.29, 0.59) chronic bronchitis 0.27; 0.15, 0.49) compared Regarding function, each 10-point increase associated with an 50 ml FEV1 (Beta 50; 32, 67) 56 FVC 56; 79). Among middle-aged older adults (age 40), symptoms, including cough 0.23; 0.12, 0.46), phlegm 0.19, 0.90), wheezing 0.29; 0.54). RCS demonstrated a negative correlation cough, sputum, wheeze. sensitivity suggested Conclusion Life’s 8 (LE8) are positively US population. These findings provide valuable reference for maintaining overall cardiorespiratory health.

Abstract Background Research has revealed a link between metabolic conditions and the occurrence of diarrhea. Nevertheless, association insulin resistance (IR) persistent diarrhea is still unclear. This study was conducted to determine whether triglyceride glucose‒waist height ratio (TyG‒WHtR), an innovative measure for evaluating IR, might be involved in Methods research used health illness data sourced from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). We employed range statistical methods evaluate TyG-WHtR chronic Initially, we preliminary test via multifactor regression. subsequently confirmed by analyzing various subgroups ultimately utilized smooth curve fitting visualize relationship. Results included 5,989 participants, whom 7.4% had According fully adjusted models, positively associated with (OR > 1, 95% CI P < 0.05). Additionally, RCS further demonstrated positive linear relationship two variables. (P overall = 0.003, P nonlinear Conclusions The correlated diarrhea, this relatively stable. In future, it essential verify causal links through prospective clarify underlying mechanisms.
