Chronic respiratory diseases (CRD) represents a series of lung disorders and is posing global health burden. Systemic inflammation phenotypic ageing have been respectively reported to associate with certain CRD. However, little known about the co-exposures mutual associations Here, we aim systematically elucidate joint mediating systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) age acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) CRD based on data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Data for this study was obtained NHANES 2007-2010 2015-2018. The single combined SII PhenoAgeAccel were analyzed using multivariable logistic regression models. dose-response relationship between exposures outcomes determined by restricted cubic splines (RCS) regression. Subgroup mediation analyses further conducted. Totally, 15,075 participants enrolled in including 3,587 patients. Compare controls, patients tended be older, females present higher values. Single-index analysis indicated that either or demonstrated significantly positive association via regressions RCS curves. Furthermore, joint-indexes revealed compared individuals lower PhenoAgeAccel, those exhibited remarkably stronger (adjusted OR [aOR], 1.56; 95% CI, 1.31-1.85; P < 0.001), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (aOR, 1.22-2.00; = 0.001) asthma 1.40; 1.16-1.70; which predominant among aged above 40 years, smokers. Eventually, suggested effects mediated resulting more significantly. This confirmed coexposure effect We recommend assessment may conduce accurate identification populations susceptible early prevention diseases.

(1) Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a major health challenge. Although vaccination protects people from HBV infection, 5–10% of at risk and associated liver diseases do not respond to vaccination. The association hematological indices with vaccine response is crucial contributing factor in HBV-associated damage the outcome patients. In this context, we clinically assessed interaction between inflammatory parameters for first time. (2) Methods: total, 90 volunteers (44 non-responders 46 responders) were included retrospective study. demographic data hemogram recorded statistically analyzed. Additionally, systemic inflammation index (SII), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte (NLR) calculated. (3) Results: Our results indicate that higher median levels white blood cells (8.61), lymphocytes (2.37), neutrophils (5.71), platelets (280) determined compared responders. SII NLR significantly than responders (p < 0.05). (4) Conclusions: exerted indicators responders, value partially distinguished response. Nevertheless, further studies larger cohorts are essential confirm clinical utility as reliable criterion predicting responsiveness.

Background This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between CBC-derived inflammatory markers (NLR, PLR, NPAR, SII, SIRI, and AISI) all-cause mortality (ACM) risk in arthritis (AR) patients with hypertensive (HTN) using data from NHANES. Methods We employed weighted multivariable logistic regression WQS explore ACM AR patients, as well determine weights of different markers. Kaplan–Meier curves, restricted cubic splines (RCS) ROC curves were utilized monitor cumulative survival differences, non-linear relationships diagnostic utility for risk, respectively. Key selected XGBoost LASSO machine learning methods, a nomogram prognostic model was constructed evaluated through calibration decision curve analysis (DCA). Results The included 4,058 HTN, 1,064 deaths over median 89-month follow-up. All six significantly higher deceased group ( p < 0.001). Weighted showed these markers’ elevated levels correlated increased across all models linked marker scores lower rates HTN found positive correlation 0.001), NPAR having greatest impact (70.02%) SIRI next (29.01%). had highest AUC (0.624) prediction, closely followed by (AUC = 0.618). identified most influential markers, LASSO-based correlating (HR, 2.07; 95% CI, 1.83–2.35; 0.01). RCS revealed correlations (Pnon-linear<0.01) showing sharp increase when >148.56 >1.51. A optimally predicted overall survival. Conclusion These results underscore necessity monitoring managing indicators clinical settings potentially improving patient outcomes.

Wasp venom allergy can trigger severe allergic reactions, and predicting these acute responses remains challenging. This study evaluates the utility of immune system indexes, particularly eosinophil–basophil/lymphocyte (EB/LR) eosinophil–basophil–platelet/lymphocyte (EBP/LR) ratios, in assessing severity reactions patients with wasp allergy. A total 61 confirmed were categorized according to Mueller scale, which classifies reactions. Blood samples analyzed for specific IgE levels alongside a range hematological biochemical parameters. found significant differences EB/LR EBP/LR indexes between mild (Mueller I–II) III–IV) higher values indicating more responses. However, no observed other such as platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte systemic immune-inflammation index, inflammatory response well additional blood These findings suggest that ratios may serve useful markers is first establish link, although further research larger cohorts necessary confirm results their potential application clinical settings.
