Antibiotics, as pollutants of emerging concern, can enter marine environments, rivers, and lakes endanger ecology human health. The purpose this study was to review the studies conducted on presence antibiotics in water, sediments, organisms aquatic environments (i.e., seas, lakes). Most reviewed were 2018 (15%) 2014 (11%). Antibiotics reported aqueous media at a concentration <1 ng/L−100 μg/L. results showed that highest number works Asian continent (seas: 74%, rivers: 78%, lakes: 87%, living organisms: 100%). water sea with frequency 49%, related fluoroquinolones. According results, amounts sediment 460 ng/L 406 ng/g, respectively. In sulfonamides had abundance (30%). Fluoroquinolones (with an 34%) lakes. Moreover, fluoroquinolones 68,000 39%. obtained it be concluded are among most dangerous due their high concentrations environment. This provides timely information regarding different which helpful for estimating ecological risks, contamination levels, management.

Pharmaceuticals are a ubiquitous group of emerging pollutants considerable importance due to their biological potency and potential elicit effects in wildlife humans. have been quantified terrestrial, marine, fresh, transitional waters, as well the fauna macro-flora that inhabit them. can enter water ways through different human veterinary pathways with traditional wastewater treatment, unable completely remove pharmaceuticals, discharging often unknown quantities aquatic ecosystems. However, there is paucity available information regarding pharmaceuticals on species at base food webs, especially phytoplankton, research typically focussing fish invertebrates. Diatoms one main classes phytoplankton some most abundant important organisms systems. As primary producers, diatoms generate ∼40 % world's oxygen vital source for consumers. also be used bioremediation polluted bodies but perhaps best known bio-indicators quality studies. this keystone, non-target ignored during ecotoxicological studies assess concern. Observed an indicator pharmaceutical-induced impacts higher trophic level wider ecosystem effects. The aim review present synthesis pharmaceutical exposure diatoms, considering ecotoxicity, role bio-indicators. We highlight significant omissions knowledge gaps which need addressing realise future risk assessment approaches help evaluate environment local global scales.

Numerous studies have reported due uncontrolled disposal polluted domestic, agricultural, industrial wastewater water bodies. This work discusses potential one hand are highly for mankind, yet their non-judicious usage equally intriguing problematic conditions systems. Pathways through pharmaceutics make way into bodies discussed. Furthermore, risk imposed by life elaborated. possible pragmatic remediation methods pharmaceutical products be treated Emphasis placed phytoremediation advanced oxidative process, factors affecting efficacy these

Abstract In this work, a nanohybrid of CuO/Mn 3 O 4 /ZnO was generated through simple hydrothermal based procedure. The has been characterized using X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy high resolution microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning and energy dispersive analysis. UV–visible spectrophotometry photoluminescence techniques allowed evaluation optical properties that additionally suggested the prevalence strong interfacial interaction between three moieties suppressed electron–hole recombination. hybrid photocatalyst brought on ~ 97.02 ± 1.15% disintegration rabeprazole when illuminated with visible light. progress photodegradation in conformity pseudo-first order kinetic model had velocity constant 0.07773 min −1 . Additionally, 84.45% total organic carbon removal achieved while chemical oxygen demand reduced by 73.01%. Using liquid chromatograph mass spectrometry technique, identification degraded products made accordingly mechanistic route aforesaid degradation proposed.
