The introduction of transition metal (TM) ions into polyoxometalates (POMs) cannot only bring about interesting structural diversities but also enable changes in properties. However, TM-containing Silverton-type polyoxomolybdates are still lacking terms diversity and application development. Herein, two Zn(II)-containing {UMo12O42}-based polyoxomolybdates, H1.89Na4.11(H2O)9Zn[UMo12O42]·4.5H2O (Zn-1) H1.8Na4.2(H2O)12Zn[UMo12O42] (Zn-2) were hydrothermally synthesized, demonstrating a practical strategy to assembly POMs. Zn-1 is proven be an excellent recyclable heterogeneous catalyst cross-dehydrogenation coupling 1,4-naphthoquinones with amines reactions, series 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones potential medicinal value have been constructed.

An anion template generally exerts an inductive effect by forming a fully covered outer shell around it; however, partial coverage to form entity with either anisotropic structure or regioselective distribution of functional groups, called the Janus cluster, is still challenging. attempt at creating asymmetric core–shell hybrid structures using high-symmetry Preyssler polyoxometalate (POM) as and [Ag(tBuC≡C)]n generate resulted in {[K(H2O)HP5W30O110]@Ag43(tBuC≡C)29(CN)(CH3CN)(H2O)}·4CH3CN (SD/Ag43a) only ca. 60% surface coverage. The Ag43 comprises two segments, Ag16(tBuC≡C)10 Ag25(tBuC≡C)15, linked pair Ag(tBuC≡C)2 units. This unprecedented example asymmetrical on symmetrical P5W30. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) indicates progressive addition [Ag(tBuC≡C)] SD/Ag43a. Due incomplete Ag P5W30 core, both components have exposed surfaces, resulting typical redox peaks from Ag(I) cluster being clearly detected cyclic voltammetry, which demonstrates successful dual functionalization POM silver hybrid.

Three Ru-induced structural interconversion polyoxometalates (POMs), Na13H5[Ru4(H2O)2(Cl)2(WO2)4(AsW9O33)4]·43H2O (1), K5Na9H8[Ru2(WO2)4(AsW9O33)4]·50H2O (2), and KNa13H14[(WO2)4(AsW9O33)4]·34H2O (3), were successfully synthesized thoroughly characterized. Interconversion of structures was accomplished by changing the number active sites for compounds 1-3. All three contain one {As4W40O140} unit, showing similar characteristics except center (Ru). Interestingly, compound 1 [turnover (TON)= 486; turnover frequency (TOF)= 20 h-1] showed highly efficient photocatalysis in achieving oxidative coupling primary amines. Compound 2 (TON = 406, TOF 17 h-1) also found to promote with relatively poor efficiency; however, 3 178; 7.4 had no obvious contribution reaction system, a chain evidence indicates that catalytic performances are strongly dependent on element contents sites. Furthermore, Ru-containing POM-based photocatalysts conveniently recyclable reusable during photocatalytic processes. This study demonstrates possibility tuning efficiency stability well designing controlling their structures. The possible mechanism synthesis imine product is proposed based experimental studies.

It is of great research value to develop an efficient and stable catalyst that can achieve the oxidation alkenes obtain epoxides, which serve as a multifunctional intermediate with important commercial value. Based on this, three-dimensional (3D) supramolecular framework H[CuI(H3bdcbpy)2(Mo12O38)(H2O)] (1, H4bdcbpy·2Cl = N,N'-bis(3,5-dicarboxybenzyl-4,4'-bipyridine·dichloride) was obtained from carboxylate-functionalized 1D coordination polymers, were derived unusual in situ [Mo12O38]4- cluster Cu-electron-deficient carboxylate complex units. The catalytic performance 1 epoxidation using TBHP examined, revealing its remarkable efficiency conversion cis-cyclooctene, high rate 99% outstanding selectivity 100%. Complex exhibited higher activity than unmodified H4bdcbpy·2Cl, CuCl2·2H2O, Na2MoO4·2H2O, well most previously reported polyoxometalate (POM)-based metal-organic complexes (POMOCs). Moreover, reaction kinetics mechanism explored free radical trapping experiments control experiments. stability also investigated.

A tower-like SbIII-SeIV-templating polyoxotungstate [H2N(CH3)2]12Na7H3[Ce0.5/Na0.5(H2O)5]2[SbSe2W21O75]2·50H2O (1) was synthesized, whose skeleton is assembled from two prolonged lacunary Dawson [SbSe2W21O75]13- units and [Ce0.5/Na0.5(H2O)5]2+ linkers. The uncommon unit can be viewed as a combination of one [SeW6O21]2- group grafted onto trivacant [SbSeW15O54]11- subunit. conductive composite 1-Au@rGO containing 1, gold nanoparticles, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) conveniently prepared, using which the 1-Au@rGO-based electrochemical genosensor constructed for detecting human multidrug resistance gene segment. This work enriches structural types dual-heteroatom-inserted polyoxometalates promotes application in genosensors.

A novel organodiphosphonate-based telluromolybdate cluster, (NH4)6Na3H13[TeMo10O37(CoMo2O6L)4]·11H2O [1; L = (O3P)2C(O)(CH2)3NH2], has been successfully synthesized by a simple one-pot aqueous reaction. Intriguingly, the [TeMo10O37]10– subunit with tetrahedral geometry of TeO4 is observed in organophosphonate-functionalized polyoxometalates for first time. Compound 1 was prepared buffer solution (pH 5.5) alendronic acid (Ale) and (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O as raw materials. The polyanion [TeMo10O37(CoMo2O6L)4]22– constructed from four {Mo2O6L} subunits encapsulating an interesting Te–Mo heterometal through CoO6 octahedra fully characterized routine techniques. The crown-shaped organotriphosphonate-modified 36-molybdenum cluster (NH4)18Na7H11[Zn(H2O)TeMo6O21{N(CH2PO3)3}]6·23H2O (1) has been synthesized, which is the largest zinc-containing organophosphonate-based polyoxometalate to date. Compound 1 was prepared in buffer solution (pH 5.5) with heptamolybdate and amino trimethylene phosphonic acid (ATMP) as organic ligand. polyanion constructed from a hexmeric assembly of [Zn(H2O){TeMo6O21}{N(CH2PO3)3}]6- subunits fully investigated by few characterization methods. In this work, we discovered that exhibited reversible photochromism it changed white reddish brown upon UV irradiation. addition, compound 1, catalyst, can oxidize sulfides sulfoxides, showing high yield/conversion good selectivity.
