Heptazine serves as the solely repetitive unit of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), which represents a progressive metal-free photocatalyst. However, synthesizing high-quality 2D heptazine-based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) remains formidable challenge, probably due to scarcity suitable and ample reactive building blocks. Herein, we designed synthesized 4-(methylene diacetate)phenyl-substituted heptazine monomer (HEP-OAc) by oxidation tris(4-tolyl)heptazine. Accordingly, two highly ordered N-rich COFs (HEP-TAPT-COF HEP-TAPB-COF) were readily prepared direct condensation HEP-OAc with C3-symmetric aromatic amines under solvothermal conditions. In comparison pristine g-C3N4, HEP-TAPT-COF exhibited greatly enhanced photocatalytic performance for benzylic C–H selective sulfoxidation mild This work provides meaningful insights into developing crystalline better capacities.

Electrocatalytic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) provides an efficient way to obtain high-value-added biomass-derived chemicals. Compared with other transition metal oxides, CuO exhibits poor oxygen evolution reaction performance, leading high Faraday efficiency for HMF oxidation. However, the weak adsorption and activation ability OH- species restricts its further development. Herein, CuO-PdO heterogeneous interface is successfully constructed, resulting in advanced onset-potential (HMFOR), a higher current density than CuO. The results open-circuit potential, situ infrared spectroscopy, theoretical calculations indicate that introduction PdO enhances capacity organic molecule. Meanwhile, promotes species, as demonstrated by zeta potential electrochemical measurements. This work elucidates enhancement mechanism interfaces constructive guidance designing multicomponent electrocatalysts electrocatalytic reactions.

As a fascinating visible-light-responsive photocatalyst, zinc indium sulfide (ZnIn2 S4 ) has attracted extensive interdisciplinary interest and is expected to become new research hotspot in the near future, due its nontoxicity, suitable band gap, high physicochemical stability durability, ease of synthesis, appealing catalytic activity. This review provides an overview on recent advances ZnIn2 -based photocatalysts. First, crystal structures are briefly introduced. Then, various modulation strategies outlined for better photocatalytic performance, which includes morphology structure engineering, vacancy doping hydrogenation construction composites. Thereafter, potential applications energy environmental area photocatalysts summarized. Finally, some personal perspectives about promises prospects this emerging material provided.
