Here it is shown that the exciton interactions within organic dye aggregates, as modeled by Frenkel Hamiltonian, enable construction of an on-off switchable gate. In this construction, a single residing on controlling gate molecule may pass or inhibit ballistic propagation in proximal channel consisting array molecules. High ratios excess ${10}^{2}$ can be achieved through use static difference dipole-dipole between and which effectively creates Bragg grating. The exhibit entanglement with quantum-mechanical superposition presence absence occupation molecule.

Molecular (dye) aggregates play a prominent role in light harvesting and are of interest quantum information science; however, there limited reports that programmably assemble many (>4) dye featuring strong coupling exciton delocalization. Using oligonucleotides with four Cy5s covalently linked series along the phosphate backbone, we bring 4, 8, 16 close proximity by assembling four-armed junctions. We elucidate their structure via gel electrophoresis steady-state transient optical spectroscopy. find Cy5 has propensity to form tetramer clusters, where is delocalized over all 4 Cy5s, not beyond clusters 8 constructs, construct may consist pairs isolated from one another. Many-dye such as these serve useful antennae for intense absorption spatially directed energy transfer.
