We report observed moiré excitons in the WS 2 /WS T-HS with a twist angle of about 1.5°. Our findings offer promising prospective for further exploration artificial excitonic crystals and quantum emitters TMD patterns.

This study theoretically demonstrated an insight for designing a novel tunable plasmonic biosensor, which was created by simply stacking twisted bilayer graphene (TBG) superlattice onto gold thin film. To achieve ultrasensitive biosensing, the biosensor modulated Goos-Hänchen (GH) shift. Interestingly, our proposed exhibited biosensing ability, largely depending on angle. When relative angle optimized to be 55.3°, such configuration: 44 nm Au film/1-TBG could produce ultralow reflectivity of 2.2038 × 10

From quantum communications to computing, single-photon emitters (SPEs) are essential components of numerous technologies. Two-dimensional (2D) materials have especially been found be highly attractive for the research into nanoscale light–matter interactions. In particular, localized photonic states at their surfaces attracted great attention due enormous potential applications in optics. Recently, SPEs achieved various 2D materials, while challenges still remain. This paper reviews recent progress on these based such as transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), and twisted-angle materials. Additionally, we summarized strategies create, position, enhance, tune emission wavelength by introducing external fields system. For example, pronounced enhancement SPEs’ properties can coupling with fields, plasmonic field, locating optical microcavities. Finally, this also discusses current offers perspectives that could further stimulate scientific field. These emitters, unique physical integration potential, appealing information communication, well other technological fields.

Abstract Moiré superlattices, composed of two layers transition metal dichalcogenides with a relative twist angle, provide novel platform for exploring the correlated electronic phases and excitonic physics. Here, gas‐flow perturbation chemical vapor deposition (CVD) approach is demonstrated to directly grow MoS 2 bilayer versatile angles. It found that formation twisted homostructures sensitively depends on modes, correspondingly featuring nucleation sites second layer at same (homo‐site) as or different (hetero‐site) from first layer. The commensurate angle ≈22° in homo‐site strategy accounts ≈16% among broad range angles due its low energy, which consistence theoretical calculation. More importantly, moiré interlayer excitons enhanced photoluminescence (PL) intensity prolonged lifetime are evidenced 22°, owing reason strong potential facilitates be trapped superlattices. work provides feasible route controllably built investigate physics twistronics systems.
