Abstract This paper describes the rare use of a 6‐membered saturated N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) known as 1,3‐di(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl) tetrahydropyrimidine‐2‐ylidene (abbreviated 6‐SIDipp) ligand in zinc chemistry. We report on investigation reactions between 6‐SIDipp and ZnX 2 , which resulted range new monomeric 6‐SIDipp⋅ZnX complexes (X=Et ( 1 ), Cl Br 3 I 4 )). also prepared NHC complex where two substituents atom are different, 6‐SIDipp⋅Zn(Et)Br 7 ) through reaction proligand [6‐SIDippH]Br with ZnEt . have observed that sulfur HBpin led to removal moiety, resulting formation C=S double bond B−H activation product, respectively. Lastly, five‐membered NHCs exchange either 5‐IDipp⋅ZnEt 8 or 5‐SIDipp⋅ZnEt 9 ).

Abstract Die Reaktion des Amin‐stabilisierten Alans (NMe 3 ) ⋅ AlH 1 mit dem Rückgrat‐gesättigten N ‐heterocyclischen Carben (NHC) SIDipp (SIDipp=1,3‐Bis‐{2,6‐di‐ iso‐ propyl‐phenyl}‐imidazolidin‐2‐yliden) bei 0 °C ergab das NHC‐stabilisierte Alan‐Addukt (SIDipp) 2 . Erhöhte Temperaturen oder verlängerte Reaktionszeiten Raumtemperatur führten zum Produkt einer Ringerweiterungs‐Reaktion (RER) NHCs, AlH(RER‐SIDippH ), anschließende Reaktionen den sterisch weniger anspruchsvollen NHCs (IMe Me {=1,3,4,5‐Tetramethyl‐imidazolin‐2‐yliden}, I i Pr {=1,3‐Di‐ iso ‐propyl‐4,5‐dimethyl‐imidazolin‐2‐yliden} und ‐propyl‐imidazolin‐2‐yliden}) lieferten die NHC‐stabilisierten RER‐Produkte (NHC=IMe , Pr), während anspruchsvolleren IDipp (=1,3‐Bis‐{2,6‐di‐ propyl‐phenyl}‐imidazolin‐2‐yliden), t Bu (=1,3‐Di‐ tert ‐butyl‐imidazolin‐2‐yliden) keine beobachtet wurde. Verbindungen wurden ebenfalls ausgehend von NHC erhalten. Das Erhitzen Lösungen ohne zusätzliche Base auf 95 führte unter Verlust Ethen zu Dekarbonisierung somit zur Substitution Carben‐Kohlenstoffatoms durch Aluminiumhydrid. Dimerisierung cis ‐[AlH{ μ ‐N(Dipp)CH CH N(Dipp)}] 4_dimer der Aluminiumalkyle AlR R (R=Me, Et) 145 stattdessen Freisetzung vollständigen Spaltung NHC‐Grundgerüstes Isolierung Dialkylaluminium(III)‐Amidinate {DippNC(R)NDipp}AlR 5 Et).

This study investigates the reactivity of 5-SIDipp-boranes and haloboranes (5-SIDipp = 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-imidazolin-2-ylidene) with Lewis acids (AlCl3 GaCl3). The reaction between 5-SIDipp·BH3 GaCl3 resulted in formation 3c-2e hydride-bridged boron cations (1). Treatment AlCl3 to mixture 5-SIDipp BHCl2·SMe2 produced a tetra-coordinate boronium cation composition → [B(H)Cl]+ ← SMe2 (2). moiety remains coordinated center throughout reaction, playing crucial role isolation compound 2. interaction 5-SIDipp·BCl3 led tri-coordinate borenium (4). However, 4 was always accompanied by generation bora-acyl chloride (B(═O)Cl) derivative (5).
