In recent years, with the development of industrial technology and increase people's environmental awareness, research on sustainable materials their applications has become a hot topic. Among two-dimensional (2D) that have been selected for research, graphitic phase carbon nitride (g-C3N4) topic because its many outstanding advantages such as simple preparation, good electrochemical properties, excellent photochemical better thermal stability. Nevertheless, inherent limitations g-C3N4 due to relatively poor specific surface area, rapid charge recombination, limited light absorption range, inferior dispersion in aqueous organic media practical application. review, we summarize analyze unique structure 2D microporous nanomaterial g-C3N4, synthesis method, chemical modification latest application examples various fields highlighting shortcomings, view providing ideas overcoming difficulties Furthermore, pressing challenges faced by are briefly discussed, well an outlook prospects materials.
