Metal-free
radical
carboselenation
of
terminal
alkynes
is
developed
for
the
synthesis
(
E
)-γ-seleno-substituted
allyl
nitriles
with
excellent
regioselectivity
and
stereoselectivity.
Abstract
A
practical
electrochemical
method
for
the
synthesis
of
β‐hydroxyselenides
has
been
developed
under
an
external
oxidant‐free
condition
at
room
temperature
air
from
alkenes
with
diselenides
and
H
2
O.
radical
mechanism
is
proposed
this
transformation
gram‐scale
reactions
demonstrate
practicability
reaction.

Herein,
we
disclosed
a
sustainable
electrochemical
approach
for
site-selective
C-H
mono
and
bis-chalcogenation
(sulfenylation
or
selenylation)
of
indolizine
frameworks.
Diversely
functionalized
disulfides
diselenides
possessing
EDGs
EWGs
were
successfully
reacted
with
variety
indolizines
to
directly
access
sulfenylated/selenylated
in
40-96%
yields.
A
mechanistic
radical
pathway
was
also
validated
control
experiments
cyclic
voltammogram
data.

We
report
access
to
the
core
of
biologically
relevant
aromatic
abietane
diterpenoids
and
formal
synthesis
podocarpic
lambertic
acids
or
γ-lactones
via
an
electrochemical
bicyclization
process
initiated
by
ferrocene-mediated
anodic
oxidation
a
malonate
single
electron-transfer.
This
approach
permits
escaping
use
excess
oxidants
such
as
Mn(OAc)3
associated
complicated
purification.
