Abstract
A
novel
Co‐based
metal‐organic
framework,
namely
[Co
3
(BTA)
2
(5‐tbuip)
]
n
(
LMOF‐1
)
(BTA=1H‐Benzotriazole,
5‐tbuip=5‐tert‐Butylisophthalic
Acid),
was
successfully
synthesized
by
solvothermal
method
using
rigid
benzotriazole
as
the
main
ligand
and
chromophore.
The
choice
of
ligands
avoids
creation
interpenetrating
structures
in
structure
is
demonstrated

crystal
X‐ray
diffraction
data.

Developing
low-cost
and
reliable
sensor
systems

the
detection
of
trace
amounts
toxic
gases
is
an
important
area
research.
Ammonia
(NH3)
a
commonly
produced
industrial
chemical
harmful
colorless
pungent
gas
released
from
various
manufacturing
processing
industries.
Continuous
exposure
to
NH3
vapor
causes
serious
menace
human
health,
microorganisms,
ecosystem.
Exposure
relatively
higher
concentrations
severely
affects
respiratory
system
leads
kidney
failure,
nasal
erosion
ulcers,
gastrointestinal
diseases.
Excessive
accumulation
in
biosphere
can
cause
metabolic
disruptions.
As
consequence
this,
therefore,
suitable
sensing
methods
selective
quantification
are
utmost
need
protect
environment
living
systems.
Given
there
have
been
significant
research
advances
preceding
years
on
development
fluorescence
chemosensors
efficient
monitoring
concentration
both
solution
phases.
This
review
article
highlights
several
reported
until
recently
quantifying
phase
or
ammonium
ions
(NH4+)
phase.
The
wide
variety
discussed
this
systematically
gathered
according
their
structures,
functional
properties,
properties.
Finally,
usefulness
existing
challenges
using
fluorescence-based
method
future
perspective
also
highlighted.

were
synthesized
structurally
characterized
by
IR
spectroscopy,
elemental
analysis,
X-ray
single-crystal
powder
diffraction
techniques.
Single
crystal
analysis
revealed
that
the
OGU
1
is
3D
framework,
possessing
1D
channels
along
b
-axis
with
dimensions
of
9.39
×
13.63
Å
in
which
are
filled
chloride
ions
lattice
water
molecules.
The
displayed
a
6,6-connected
net
point
symbol
{4

.8}{4

}.
Furthermore,
thermal
(TG,
DTA
DTA)
photochromic
properties
investigated
it
exhibited
color
change
under
365
nm
UV
light.
