With the widespread adoption of green and sustainable development concepts, enhancing sensing performance flexible pressure sensors while reducing manufacturing costs environmental pollution has emerged as a pressing research issue. Drawing inspiration from bamboo, naturally occurring plant, we utilized virgin bamboo pulp raw material for producing draw paper. The resulting cylinder structure serves dielectric layer. We propose an extremely low-cost, user-friendly, origami method fabricating paper-based sensors. structural parameters sensor were thoroughly investigated optimized through finite element simulations practical experiments. Notable features include high sensitivity (1.96 kPa–1 within 0–50 kPa), low detection limit (2 Pa), wide range (0–500 rapid response recovery times (40 45 ms, respectively), reliable durability stability (∼5000 cycles). Experimental results demonstrate successful application these in areas such human motion, health monitoring, human–computer interaction. potential applications extend to wearables, smart healthcare, human–machine collaboration, electronic skin (e-skin).

High-performance flexible strain sensors have tremendous potential applications in wearable devices and health monitoring. However, developing a sensor with high sensitivity over wide range remains significant challenge. In this study, fibrous membrane porous crimped structure was designed as the substrate material for TPU/GNPs sensors. This structural design effectively balances range. The TPU-PEO prepared using electrospinning water washing, resulted TPU framework. Subsequently, subjected to anhydrous ethanol stimulation obtain network structure. GNPs were modified on through ultrasonic treatment. produced exhibited (GF = 4047.5) within large (350%) demonstrated excellent sensing performance, stability, durability (>10,000 cycles). It not only captured basic movements but also efficiently recognized measured bending angles, enabling more sophisticated human–machine interaction experience. advancement opens up possibilities future intelligent technology interaction, contributing evolution of these fields.

Fiber-based strain sensors, as wearable integrated devices, have shown substantial promise in health monitoring. However, current sensors suffer from limited tunability sensing performance, constraining their adaptability to diverse human motions. Drawing inspiration the structure of spiranthes sinensis, this study introduces a unique textile wrapping technique coil flexible silver (Ag) yarn around surface multifilament elastic polyurethane (PU), thereby constructing helical fiber-based sensor. The synergistic interaction between PU core and outer Ag enhances mechanical strength stretchability sensor, while external offers high conductivity. By adjusting spacing coils on we achieve precise control over both sensitivity range. Specifically, experimental results show that with pitch 1.25 mm, range reaches up 150%, gauge factor (GF) is 2.6; when adjusted 5 within 60% range, GF value significantly increases 9.3. Based these excellent performance metrics, further apply sensor conductor ECG monitoring garments, successfully verifying its practicality cardiac Additionally, developed smart glove for hand function rehabilitation training, utilizing wireless signal transmission promote recovery hemiplegic patients. also capable effectively respiratory rate pulse, showing broad prospects fields medicine healthcare.
