Here we describe the synthesis and evaluation of a molecular corrosion sensor that can be applied in situ aerospace coatings, then used to detect after coating has been applied. A pH-sensitive molecule, 4-mercaptopyridin (4-MP), is attached gold nanoparticle allow surface-enhanced Raman-scattering (SERS) for signal amplification. These SERS nanoparticles, when combined with an appropriate micron-sized carrier system, are incorporated directly into MIL-SPEC monitor process onset progression using pH changes occurring at metal–coating interface. Sustainable and safe food is an important issue worldwide, it depends on cost-effective analysis tools with good sensitivity reality. However, traditional standard chemical methods of safety detection, such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas (GC), tandem mass spectrometry (MS), have the disadvantages high cost long testing time. Those prevented people from obtaining sufficient risk information to confirm their products. In addition, testing, bioassay method, often results in false positives or negatives due little rigor preprocessing samples. So far, currently relies enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), polymerase chain reaction (PCR), HPLC, GC, UV-visible spectrophotometry, MS, all which require significant time train qualified laboratory operators. These factors hindered development rapid monitoring systems, especially remote areas a relative lack resources. Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has emerged one choice for that can overcome these dilemmas over past decades. SERS offers advantages chromatographic its portability, non-destructive nature, lower implications. stands, supplemental tool analysis, reinforcing enhancing completeness coverage system. combines portability cheaper detection costs gain advantage analysis. encountered many challenges moving toward regulatory applications safety, quantitative accuracy, poor reproducibility, instability large molecule detection. Appropriate separation and enrichment steps can enhance the performance of SERS assays. For rapid, in-situ detection carbaryl, a novel PA-6/AuNRs@ZIF-8 film that be applied to dual-mode detection, has been developed. In film, PA-6 was used as TLC substrate for initial substance measured. ZIF-8 provides chemical enhancement in well secondary analytes. Utilizing this we have successfully implemented TLC-SERS rapid scheme, resulting limit carbaryl low 1 × 10–9 M lake water 15 min, which is significantly lower than existing standards. Additionally, manufacturing cost one kept within range $0.20–$0.40 economically, presenting substantial financial advantages. The method highly promising pesticide forensic testing.

Abstract Putrescine is of concern due to its toxicity and applications in monitoring food spoilage water quality. In this work, Au nanobowls modified by Cu‐MOF (core‐shell bowl@Cu MOF) together o‐phthalaldehyde (OPA) are embedded into sodium alginate hydrogel construct a unique SERS substrate (OPA‐Au MOF/hydrogel) for sensing putrescine. the confined space porous hydrogel, Schiff base reaction between OPA resulted product N, N‐dibenzylidene‐n‐butylenediamine (OPA‐Putrescine), which easily captured via copper‐nitrogen coordination then detected thanks high activity large Raman scattering cross‐section OPA‐Putrescine. The above contributed selectivity greatly suppress many amino group‐containing molecules. limit (LOD) gaseous liquid 1.2 × 10 −9 6.3 −10 mol L −1 , respectively. Further, application potential SERS‐sensor environmental fields demonstrated successful salmon seawater samples.

This study assessed the controlled synthesis process and efficacy of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) on two distinct types star-like Au@Ag core-shell nanoarrays. These nanoarrays were designed based gold nanostars (AuNSs) that synthesized with without CTAB surfactant (AuNSs-CTAB, AuNSs-FS). The differences in size morphology these AuNSs creating also studied. To create nanoarrays, a three-step was conducted. That involved nanostars, covered silver layer (AuNSs-FS@Ag AuNSs-CTAB@Ag), finally, self-assembling AuNSs@Ag core-shelled nanoparticles by liquid/liquid self-assembled method. nano-substrates developed AuNSs-FS@Ag able to provide numerous 'hot spots' their surface, resulting highly effective SERS performance. AuNSs-FS features significantly higher number sharp branches than AuNSs-CTAB, making them superior choice for It is worth mentioning AuNSs-CTAB does not same benefits as AuNSs-FS. formed controlling seed boiling temperature adding specific amount ions. compare activity between as-prepared included AuNSs-CTAB@Ag crystal violet aqueous solutions at low concentrations characterized. results showed could detect CV trace ranging from 1.0 ng/mL 10 limit detection (LOD) 0.45 quantification (LOQ) 1.38 ng/mL. nano substrates remained stable 42 days decrease characteristic peaks intensities below 7.0% after storage.
