Growing awareness of resource sustainability and waste management has driven the search for circular-economy solutions. Lignocellulosic biomass waste, most abundant renewable carbon resource, offers green potential as an alternative to declining non-renewable fuels. However, due its recalcitrant nature, it requires pre-processing convert into valuable products like energy chemicals. Biorefineries play a key role in this process by promoting integral use biomass, finding ways utilize lignin, previously treated waste. Common pretreatment methods are unsustainable, prompting research eco-friendly solvents advanced techniques ultrasound- microwave-assisted methods. Recent approaches have also explored eutectic solvents, which, when combined with these intensification techniques, offer promising results. These technologies improve delignification efficiency, which turn improves saccharification process, reduces solvent use, minimizes environmental impact. Despite progress, challenges remain making economically viable adaptable diverse types. This review article highlights recent advances sustainable treatment technologies, including process-intensification obtained lignin various industrial applications. It discusses future prospects more environmentally friendly processes utilization.

Recent studies have demonstrated that the presence of water in deep eutectic solvents (DESs) significantly affects their dynamics, structure, and physical properties. Although structural changes due to addition are well understood, microscopic dynamics these been rarely studied. Here, we performed molecular simulation 30% (v/v) (∼0.57 molar fraction) mixture DES containing CH3CONH2 NaSCN/KSCN at various salt fractions understand structure water. The simulated results reveal a heterogeneous environment for molecules aqueous (ADES), which is influenced by nature cation. diffusion coefficients ADESs lower than neat concentrated solution. When Na+ ions replaced K+ ADES system, coefficient increases, consistent with measured nuclear magnetic resonance data. Self-dynamic factor other dynamic quantities, such as reorientation, hydrogen-bond, residence time correlation functions, show markedly slower inside Moreover, become faster when ions. suggest Na+-rich rigid cation-bound geometrically constrained medium becomes less KSCN fraction increases relatively weaker interaction ions, accelerates dynamical processes.

The basic properties such as pH, electrical conductivity, and viscosity of four different deep eutectic solvents (DESs) were analyzed in this study. Additionally, the effects temperature mixing ratio water on DESs evaluated. As a result, pH DES was found to be affected by two reagents includeed DES. Organic acid based (lactic acid:choline chloride = 5:1) had lowest highest conductivity.
