Abstract The pesticide 2, 4‐dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2, 4‐D) is recognized as a formidable organic contaminant due to its carcinogenic and toxic behavior. Due high solubility resilience in both chemical biological environments, it tough remove from aqueous solution. goal of the present investigation evaluate breakdown 4‐D herbicide solution by employing nano photocatalyst. For this purpose, underwent degradation utilizing bio‐fabricated chromium oxide nanoparticles (Cr 2 O 3 NPs). In bio‐fabrication Cr NPs Raphunus sativus leaf extract used green source. study also evaluated impacts various operational parameters, that is, catalyst dose (g/L), pollutant concentration (ppm), pH on photocatalytic efficiency result clearly established efficiently pollutants Under optimized conditions (catalyst dose: g/L, concentration: 15 mg/L, pH: 4), 73% degraded within 90 min.
