Bimetallic-metal organic frameworks (BiM-MOFs) or bimetallic represent an innovative and promising class of porous materials, distinguished from traditional monometallic MOFs by their incorporation two metal ions alongside linkers. BiM-MOFs, with unique crystal structure, physicochemical properties, composition, demonstrate distinct advantages in the realm biochemical sensing applications, displaying improvements optical stability, selectivity, sensitivity. This comprehensive review explores into recent advancements leveraging BiM-MOFs for fluorescence-based sensing, providing insights design, synthesis, practical applications both chemical biological sensing. The construction of a highly luminescent, stable, and target-insensitive internal reference signal is significant in ratiometric color tonality applications. Improvement the antenna effect, efficient mechanism that enhances luminescence emission via sensitization, an effective route to obtain bright luminescence. Additionally, manipulation crystal structure morphology key issue control reactivity, especially metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). In present work, novel red emitter Eu/Zn bimetal biligand MOF (UoZ-5) was synthesized used as signal. A dual-antenna from triplet states (T1) ligands 5Do Eu3+ ion, observed explained on basis energy levels. The conventional notion is that enzymes, natural and nanozymes, exhibit peak activity solely within defined psychrophilic or thermophilic conditions. This work challenges the by preparing a highly efficient oxidase-mimic of Ag-based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) (referred to as UoZ-3; UoZ stands for University Zakho), which effectively in wide-range temperatures. breakthrough not only widens working temperature range but also overcomes instability problem hydrogen peroxide limited use peroxidase-based applications. Red-emitting metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are still mostly based on the use of lanthanides or functionalization with red fluorophores. However, production transition-metal-based MOFs red-emitting is scarce. This work reports synthesis a novel dual-state Zn-based MOF (denoted as UoZ-7) capability to detect target molecules in dual state, solution, and solid paper.
