Abstract Supercapacitors (SCs) are studied and used in various fields due to their high power density, fast charging/discharging rate, as well long cycle life. Compared other traditional electrode electrolyte materials, supramolecular hydrogels have great advantages the application of SCs excellent properties. Unlike covalent bonds, systems assembled through dynamic reversible including host–guest interactions, ion electrostatic hydrogen bonding, coordination etc. The resulting show some special functions, such stretching, compression, adhesion, self‐healing, stimulus responsiveness, etc., making them strong candidates for next generation energy storage devices. This paper reviews representative progress electrodes, electrolytes, based on hydrogels. Besides, properties hydrogels, conductivity, extensibility, compressibility elasticity, frost resistance, flexibility, also reviewed highlight key role hydrogel materials SCs. In addition, this article discusses challenges faced by current technologies, hoping continue promoting future research field.

Tunable Multicolor Lanthanide Supramolecular Assemblies with White Light Emission Confined by Cucurbituril[7] DOI

Macrocyclic confinement-induced supramolecular luminescence materials have important application value in the fields of bio-sensing, cell imaging, and information anti-counterfeiting. Herein, a tunable multicolor lanthanide assembly with white light emission is reported, which constructed by co-assembly cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) encapsulating naphthylimidazolium dicarboxylic acid (G1 )/Ln (Eu3+ /Tb3+ ) complex carbon quantum dots (CD). Benefiting from macrocyclic confinement effect CB[7], not only extends fluorescence intensity G1 36 times, but also increases yield 28 times lifetime 12 times. Furthermore, CB[7]/G1 /Ln can further co-assemble CD diarylethene derivatives (DAE) to realize intelligently-regulated full-color spectrum including light, results competitive encapsulation adamantylamine change pH, photochromic DAE. The multi-level logic gate based on successfully applied anti-counterfeiting system storage, providing an effective method for research new luminescent intelligent materials.

Light-driven multicolor supramolecular systems mainly rely on the doping of dyes or a photo-reaction to produce unidirectional luminescence. Herein, we use visible light drive bidirectional reversible shuttle from blue green, white, yellow, up orange by simple encapsulation spiropyran-modified cyanostilbene (BCNMC) macrocyclic cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8]) monomer. The resultant host-guest complex displayed enhanced fluorescence properties, i.e. changed in dark within 2 hours and reverted original state upon irradiation for 30 s. Benefiting sensitivity spiropyran moiety light, it can spontaneously isomerize ring-opened ring-closed isomer aqueous solution, this photo-isomerization reaction is process under irradiation, leading luminescence as result intramolecular energy transfer. In addition, also drove conversion topological morphology two-dimensional nanoplatelets nanospheres. Different widely reported molecular rotaxane "shuttle", confined host CB[8] not only modulated but exhibited luminescence, which was successfully applied programmed rewritable information encryption.

ConspectusIntelligent supramolecular assemblies can respond well to external stimuli such as pH, temperature, light, electricity, magnetism, and enzymes achieve not only reversible topological morphology changes assembly/disassembly processes but also special physical chemical properties, which are successfully applied biological imaging, cancer treatment, luminescent materials, anticounterfeiting, sensing, molecular switch in chemical, research fields. Among all stimuli-responsive assemblies, light-controlled have always attracted intense attention because light is a kind of clean eco-friendly energy. In this Account, we focus on formed by four types photoresponsive molecules macrocyclic hosts cucurbit[n]urils, cyclodextrins, crown ethers, their regulations materials bioimaging. The cascade between photoisomerization or photoreaction mainly include: 1) based macrocycles diarylethene. As switches, the open-ring closed-ring configurations diarylethenes be reversibly controlled tunable fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) process further regulate behaviors construct intelligent response cell-imaging, multicolor luminescence systems. 2) Light-controlled spiropyran. Different from diarylethenes, spiropyran converse positive charges ring-open merocyanie (MC) state, amphiphilic easy bond with like neutral/negative ring-closed (SP) more likely self-assemble. Therefore, differentiation bonding affinities MC SP light-driven machines. 3) azobenzene, whether azobenzene modified functional guests, through host–guest interactions, behavior regulated apply catalytic activity modulation, induction microtubule (MT) assembly/disassembly, drug delivery, others. 4) anthracene, different anthracene before after photooxidation hosts, dimerization, change morphologies drive phosphorescence dual imaging construction photostimuli-driven lanthanide switch. Abstract Regulation of fluorescence and self‐assembly a salicylaldehyde azine‐containing amphiphile by water‐soluble pillar[5]arene via host–guest recognition in water was realized. The the self‐assembled aggregates bola‐type G can be tailored adding different amounts ( WP5 ). In addition, emission property behavior are responsive to pH conditions. Furthermore, regulation or conditions applied as information encryption material, rewritable paper, erasable ink. We believe that this strategy is promising for construction advanced fluorescent organic materials.

We report atomic-scale gating and visualization of local charge distribution within individual rare-earth-based molecular complexes on a metallic surface. The are formed by positively charged lanthanum ion coordinated to (pcam)3 molecule negatively counterion trapped underneath via electrostatic interactions Au(111) Local is performed adding an additional one side the complex, which results in redistribution charges complex positive shift frontier orbitals.
