Near-Infrared Light-Induced Deep Curing of Thiol–Epoxy Networks Based on Upconversion Photochemistry

Thiol–epoxy
photopolymerization
offers
exceptional
advantages
for
high-performance
protective
coatings,
yet
efficiently
curing
thick
formulations
remains
a
significant
challenge
due
to
the
limited
penetration
depth
of
conventional
UV
light.
Herein,
we
report
novel
near-infrared
(NIR)
light-activated
system
deep-curing
applications,
strategically
integrating
upconversion
nanoparticles
(UCNPs)
as
NIR-to-UV
converters,
isopropylthioxanthone
(ITX)
photosensitizer,
and
liquid
N-phenylglycine-based
photobase
generator
(NPG-TBD)
with
enhanced
resin
solubility.
Upon
980
nm
NIR
irradiation,
photogenerated
TBD
catalyzes
thiol–epoxy
polymerization
through
an
anionic
mechanism,
enabling
uniform
network
formation
epoxy
thiol
functional
group
conversions
greater
than
90%
throughout
samples
exceeding
2.5
cm
in
thickness.
The
resulting
coatings
exhibit
excellent
mechanical
properties
including
3H
pencil
hardness,
strong
adhesion
(0
grade),
good
flexibility
(2
mm),
significantly
outperforming
systems
approximately
1.5
mm.
Additionally,
cured
materials
demonstrate
multifunctional
characteristics
distinctive
luminescence
dual-responsive
shape
memory
behavior.
This
approach
addresses
critical
limitations
deep-photocuring
technology
while
offering
potential
applications
marine
infrastructure,
chemical
storage
facilities,
smart
requiring
both
substantial
barrier
programmable
responsiveness.

expression,
localization,
degradation,
storage,
and
regulation
of
cells,
which
is
crucial
for
basic
biology
clinical
research.
Our
previous
research
finds
that
slicing
facilitated
crRNA
typical
CRISPR/Cas12a
system
at
a
fitted
site
did
not
affect
its
trans-cleavage
activity,
was
previously
reported
to
be
triggered
by
targeted
ssDNA
or
dsDNA,
mini
crRNA-mediated
(MCM-CRISPR/Cas12a)
proposed.
Here,
we
further
apply
it
enhanced
MicroRNAs
designing
activator
as
molecular
beacon
(MB),
form
hybrid
double-stranded
structure
DNA/RNA
with
MicroRNA.
When
MicroRNA
present,
hairpin
MB
opened
emits
fluorescence.
Simultaneously,
DNA-RNA
formed
activates
activity
LbCas12a,
partially
cleaving
single-stranded
DNA
extended
from
enhancing
fluorescence
intensity
system.
We
designed
MCM-CRISPR/Cas12a
miRNA-21,
miRNA-155,
miRNA-10b
successfully
applied
sensitive
specific
these
both
inside
outside
cells.

The
lanthanide
series
elements
are
transition
metals
used
as
critical
components
of
electronics,
well
rechargeable
batteries,
fertilizers,
antimicrobials,
contrast
agents
for
medical
imaging,
and
diesel
fuel
additives.
With
the
surge
in
their
utilization,
being
found
more
our
environment.
However,
little
is
known
about
health
effects
associated
with
exposure.
Epidemiological
studies
performed
rodents
exposed
to
lanthanum
(La)
suggest
neurological
damage,
learning
memory
impairment,
disruption
neurotransmitter
signaling,
particularly
serotonin
dopamine
pathways.
Unfortunately,
heavier
lanthanides.
As
dysfunctions
serotonergic
dopaminergic
signaling
implicated
multiple
conditions,
including
Parkinson’s
disease,
depression,
generalized
anxiety
disorder,
post-traumatic
stress
it
utmost
importance

lanthanides
on
these
systems.
We
therefore
hypothesized
that
early-life
exposure
light
[La
(III)
or
cerium
(Ce
(III))]
heavy

(Er

ytterbium

adulthood.

Abstract
The
endoplasmic
reticulum
(ER)
is
crucial
for
maintaining
calcium
balance,
lipid
biosynthesis,
and
protein
folding.
Disruptions
in
ER
homeostasis,
often
due
to
the
accumulation
of
misfolded
or
unfolded
proteins,
lead
stress,
which
plays
a
significant
role
various
diseases,
especially
cancer.
Urological
cancers,
account
high
male
mortality
worldwide,
pose
persistent
challenge
their
incurability
tendency
develop
drug
resistance.
Among
numerous
dysregulated
biological
mechanisms,
stress
key
factor
progression
treatment
response
these
cancers.
This
review
highlights
dual
aberrant
activation
urologic
affecting
both
tumor
growth
therapeutic
outcomes.
While
can
support
through
pro‐survival
autophagy,
it
primarily
inhibits
cancer
via
apoptosis
pro‐death
autophagy.
Interestingly,
paradoxically
aid
mechanisms
such
as
exosome‐mediated
immune
evasion.
Additionally,
