Background Diarrhea, as a significant aspect of digestive system disorders, the relationship between dietary quality and gut health has attracted increasing attention. This study aims to investigate association Healthy Eating Index 2015 its components risk diarrhea. Methods data from 2007 2010 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey databases, which included 7,395 adult participants. Diarrhea was defined according Bristol Stool Form Scale (BSFS) Gut Questionnaire. The HEI-2015 score estimated based on two 24-h recall interviews. surveylogistic regression models were employed examine Results results this indicated that, significantly associated with reduced Specifically, 1-point increase in 1% decrease odds diarrhea (OR:0.99, 95% CI:0.98–0.99). A whole grain linked 5% reduction (OR:0.95, CI:0.91–0.99), while refined 3% (OR:0.97, CI:0.94–0.99). Conclusion adds further evidence benefits grains potential risks grains. As part balanced diet, promoting consumption could have impact public by reducing incidence improving overall well-being.

Existing research shows an inconsistent correlation between whole-grain intake and obesity risk, with limited study on the dose–response relationship. Here, we aimed to examine this association relationship among U.S. adults who participated in a NHANES (2003–2018). The of whole grain was collected calculated from two rounds 24 h dietary recall. Obesity categorized based body mass index (BMI) waist circumference (WC). Weighted multivariable logistic regression models were used calculate odds according intake, modeled by restricted cubic spline regression. Among 27,862 participants, 38.3% had general obesity, while 58.3% abdominal obesity. After multivariate adjustment potential confounders, participants highest quintile lower prevalence (OR 0.79; 95% CI 0.72–0.88) 0.80; 0.73–0.89) compared those lowest category. Spline showed inversely linear In conclusion, higher associated both abdominal. Our findings highlight importance increasing prevent manage

Resistant starch is a type of dietary fiber with prebiotic properties, potential action on intestinal permeability, and an effect decreasing glycemic levels, presenting therapeutic for issues stemming from excess body fat associated comorbidities, such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Sixty C57BL/6 mice were allocated to the following diets 4 months: control (C), normolipid rich in (F), supplemented resistant (RS), high (HL), HL (HLF), (HLRS). The parameters analyzed: animal weight, composition, food intake, fasting blood glucose, lipid profile, hepatic histology, oxidative stress, assessment short‐chain acids feces. Long‐term supplementation doses effectively reduced weight gain decreased retroperitoneal adipose tissue weights, glucose alanine aminotransferase, serum triglycerides. Intestinal histology showed that high‐fat diet increased total diameter lumen (846.81 ± 7.82) enteric muscle thickness (8.51 0.51), while improved these (658.01 3.82; 30.56 0.66), also butyrate production, stress intestine. was effective reducing adiposity, NAFLD diet‐induced obesity metabolic syndrome (MS).

Background/Objectives: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic condition influenced by variety of factors, including genetics, the environment, and gut microbiota. The incidence IBD increasing globally. Previous studies have shown that interactions between diet microbiota influence pathogenesis treatment IBD. Proper dietary nutrition oat bran regulates inflammation, which essential for individual health, one factors in reducing inflammation body keeping immune system functioning properly, plays role prevention diseases. However, mechanism action whether will alleviate modulating intestinal flora metabolites remains unknown. Methods: Therefore, this study, we used mouse model dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) colitis to analyze composition microbiota, short-chain fatty acid content, expression relevant genes. Results: results showed diets supplemented with improved barrier parameters, decreased levels inflammatory modulated increased content acids. Conclusions: This study provides strong evidence interventions oats or may potential applications clinical
