The use of photocatalysis in conjunction with biomass presents an innovative and promising way to increase the sustainability chemical processes. In this work, a g-C3N4@AgFe2O4 heterojunction nanocomposite was prepared by facile sonication method subsequently modified sulfonic acid groups form new acidic photocatalyst enhanced photocatalytic activity. structure, surface composition, morphology, optical absorption features were studied using state-of-the-art characterization techniques. Visible-light-driven dehydration biomass-derived carbohydrates 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), as versatile platform compound, employed assess its catalytic property. Compared traditional homogeneous heterogeneous catalysts, reveled superior or equal activity production HMF from fructose only at low temperature (90 °C, 91% yield). easily recovered remained active recycle runs, approving good stability. Furthermore, developed protocol found be capable converting other feedstocks, such glucose, sucrose, maltose into respectable yields. Interestingly, work represents first example utilizing photocatalyst.

It is a great challenge to construct green catalytic system for the reduction of nitro compounds corresponding amines under mild conditions. Due low energy red light, it challenging develop photocatalytic selective nitroaromatics aromatic driven by light. A bimetallic porphyrin metal–organic framework (Bi-P(Co)MOF) was characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, scanning and energy-dispersive techniques. The constructed photocatalyst Bi-PMOF-Co shows excellent activity conversion in high yields with NaBH4 as reducing agent at room temperature light irradiation. Moreover, protocol showed functional group compatibility, recyclability demonstrated five-cycle tests.

Comprehensive Summary The reaction site of aryl diazonium salt was restricted in the position moiety, due to intrinsic electrophilicity moiety. Herein, we described an unprecedented chemoselective alkylation Csp 2 ‐H salts with 1‐iodo‐3‐pentafluorosulfanylbicyclo[1,1,1]pentane (SF 5 ‐BCP‐I). This novel provided efficient access various SF ‐BCP substituted aromatics that might have great potential application drug discovery. Herin, photochemical radical cyclization reaction o-vinylaryl isocyanides and aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates, has been reported to build 2,4-diaryl quinolines.
