Propolis is a valuable natural resource for extracting various beneficial compounds. This study explores sustainable extraction approach Brazilian green propolis. First, supercritical fluid (SFE) process parameters were optimized (co-solvent: 21.11% v/v CPME, and temperature: 60 °C) to maximize yield, total phenolic content (TPC), antioxidant capacity, LOX (lipoxygenase) inhibitory activity. GC–MS analysis identified 40 metabolites in SFE extracts, including fatty acids, terpenoids, phenolics, sterols. After selecting the optimum parameters, sequential high-pressure (HPE) was developed, comprising SFE, pressurized liquid (PLE) with EtOH/H2O, subcritical water (SWE). compared similar using low-pressure extractions (LPE) Soxhlet extractor. The HPE achieved significantly higher overall yield (80.86%) than LPE (71.43%). showed selectivity, resulting lower carbohydrate non-polar fraction, PLE extracted nearly twice protein amount of LPE–2. Despite extracts exhibited better acetylcholinesterase (AChE), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), inhibition, demonstrating that neuroprotective anti-inflammatory activity may be associated symbiosis set Finally, comprehensive greenness assessment revealed proved more aligned chemistry principles method.

ABSTRACT Phenolic antioxidants and curcuminoids are biologically important molecules playing a crucial role in combating reactive species under oxidative stress conditions. In this study, microwave‐assisted extraction (MAE) ultrasound‐assisted (UAE) processes for the of phenolic curcumin from turmeric using an ethanol‐water mixture were optimized modeled with face‐centered composite design response surface methodology. Under optimal conditions, CUPRAC total antioxidant capacity (TAC), content (CC), DPPH free radical scavenging capacity, ABTS contents (TPC) extracts obtained MAE, UAE, automated soxhlet‐assisted determined to distinguish water ratio ethanolic solvent as most operational factor affecting TAC CC responses. The design of new hydrophobic solvents is essential for replacing the toxic hexane extracting nonpolar compounds such as fatty acids. On other hand, full use plant matrices seeking to obtain food and pharmaceutical products from their coproducts has also been focus sustainable processes. This study proposed extract acids bioactive obtained almond- peanut-based milk processing. COSMO-RS method was used select terpene-based mixtures substitute hexane. Experimentally, four liquid were formed 1:2 tetradecanol/1,8-cineole (TE/EU), camphor/1,8-cineole (CA/EU), 1:1 oleic acid/1,8-cineole (OL/EU), menthol/1,8-cineole (ME/EU). DSC analyses indicated reduction CA/EU, OL/EU, ME/EU melting points concerning components. However, point values predicted by COSMO obtaining eutectic differed. CA/EU only mixture with a lower than COSMO-RS-predicted one. In contrast, FTIR spectra did not provide clear visualization hydrogen bond formation between camphor 1,8-cineole. could be due weak bonds, phenomenon observed in studies. Nevertheless, these have advantage low viscosity, promising feature that likely facilitated mass transfer extraction almond peanut coproducts. provided same global yield higher phytosterol squalene content extracts can directly applications since are usually part formulations.
