Gastric cancer (GC) is a prevalent malignant tumor that originates from the epithelial cells of gastric mucosa, predominantly in form adenocarcinoma. Extensive research has confirmed significant role autophagy initiation, progression, and chemoresistance GC. The potential traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to exert anti-tumor effects by modulating been demonstrated, particularly context GC prevention treatment. Natural products (NPs) have great therapeutic treatment targeting autophagy-related genes signaling pathways intervene biological behaviors such as proliferation, metastasis, invasion death. This article describes molecular mechanisms key markers autophagy, involved GC-associated (PI3K/AKT/mTOR, AMPK, MAPK, p53), summarizes mechanism Helicobacter pylori infection GC, how interacts with apoptotic iron-death processes wide-ranging influences these factors play process. Finally, this paper systematically natural compounds terpenoids, polyphenols, alkaloids, saponins, polysaccharides modulate targets for evaluates toxic NPs, providing more compelling rationale direction therapy.
