Currently,
carbon
dots
(CDs)
with
room-temperature
phosphorescence
(RTP)
show
bright
prospects
in
multiple
fields,
owing
to
their
tunable
wavelengths
and
large
Stokes
shifts.
Howbeit,
obtaining
the
long-lived
efficient
RTP
of
CDs
still
encounters
a
different
kind
challenge.
Here,
we
originally
prepared
(CDs@β-GPA)
β-guanidinopropionic
acid
diethylenetriamine
pentamethylene
phosphonic
acid,
CDs@β-GPA
exhibited
obvious
green
when
fixed
on
filter
paper.
Importantly,
introduction
boric
(BA)
into
resulted
stabilized
triplet
excitons
by
forming
composite
CDs@β-GPA/BA
through
covalent
coupling,
optical
band
gap
was
effectively
reduced
nonradiative
transitions
were
inhibited,
thus
leading
significantly
prolonged
lifetime
up
1.35
s.
Meanwhile,
also
acquired
phosphorescent
emission
excited
visible
light.
This
strategy
may
broaden
approaches
produce
long-lifetime
high-efficiency
material.
Moreover,
successfully
employed
fields
fingerprint
detection
advanced
information
encryption.

Carbon
dots
(CDs)
have
garnered
extensive
interest
in
basic
physical
chemistry
as
well
biomedical
applications
due
to
their
low
cost,
good
biocompatibility,
and
great
aqueous
solubility.
However,
the
synthesis
of
multi-functional
carbon
has
always
been
a
challenge
for
researchers.
Here,
we
synthesized
novel
CDs
with
high
quantum
yield
28.2%
through
straightforward
hydrothermal
method
using
Diaminomaleonitrile
Boc-D-2,
3-diaminopropionic
acid.
The
size,
chemical
functional
group,
photophysical
properties
were
characterized
by
TEM,
FTIR,
XPS,
UV,
fluorescence.
It
was
demonstrated
this
study
that
prepared
yield,
excellent
photostability,
cytotoxicity.
Regarding
highly
water-soluble
property
CDs,
they
proven
possess
selective
sensitive
behavior
against
Cu2+
ions
(linear
range
=
0–9
μM
limit
detection
1.34
μM).
Moreover,
utilized
fluorescent
ink
anti-counterfeiting
measures.
Because
cytotoxicity
also
successfully
cell
imaging.
Therefore,
as-prepared
potential
fluorescence
sensing,
anti-counterfeiting,
bioimaging.

Abstract
Carbon
dots
(CDs)
hold
immense
potential
for
various
optical
applications,
however,
the
economical
and
mild
preparation
of
multicolor
carbon
(MCDs)
remains
challenging,
correlation
between
their
photoluminescence
(PL)
electrochemiluminescence
(ECL)
is
still
unclear.
In
this
study,
five
MCDs
with
emissions
from
blue
to
red
are
rapidly
synthesized
using
a
one‐step
ion
liquid‐assisted
wet
chemical
method
under
atmospheric
pressure,
1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium
chloride
([Bmim]Cl)
as
reaction
medium.
The
resulting
exhibit
sizes
ranging
1.81
3.15
nm,
featuring
similar
surface
structures.
models
used
investigate
how
core
size
state
determine
PL
ECL.
It
found
that
primarily
arises
excitation
emission
within
core,
whereas
ECL
governed
by
states.
Notably,
all
near‐infrared
≈760
which
red‐shifted
relative
independent
particle
size.
Leveraging
tunable
luminescence,
pH‐
solvent‐dependent
properties,
screen‐printing
compatibility,
luminescent
tracers
developed
anticounterfeiting
freshness
indicators.
This
study
advances
synthesis
full‐color
CDs
offers
valuable
insights
into
modulation
expanding
applications.
