Abstract The present study demonstrates the isolation of pure cellulose (CU) from Cedrus deodara (C. deodara) wood wool. Further, CU and modified mercaptobenzothiazole-functionalized (CU-MBT) were evaluated for adsorptive removal Hg(II), Pb(II), Cd(II) ions bacterial strains water. Advanced characterizations through TGA, HR-TEM, FE-SEM, FTIR, XRD, EDX XPS performed to analyze adsorbents. adsorption kinetics CU-MBT followed pseudo-second-order model with high regression coefficients (0.99) Cd(II), Hg(II). At pH 6 7, thiol-functionalized displayed better capacities i.e. 185.18 mg/g, 178.57 140.84 mg/g Hg(II) respectively. Several oxygen sulphur-containing groups at densities in are attributed impressive properties towards Cd(II). DFT calculations validated stability reactivity by utilizing their structural characteristics. Later, antibacterial analysis, developed adsorbents revealed good properties. In conclusion, has considerable calibre act as an effective adsorbent removing well species water, demonstrating its potential water treatment.

ABSTRACT Among various heterocyclics, five‐membered triazole nitrogen heterocycles show vast application in the medicinal, industrial, and agricultural sectors, so forth. The Cu‐catalyzed click reaction has gained significant attention from investigators for selective synthesis of derivatives, but toxicity occurs due to excessive presence copper final product associated intake limits its application. In quest development sustainable synthetic strategies, copper‐free, metal‐free, water‐assisted reactions are becoming popular. view this, present review article focuses on recent developments (last 10 years) made afford derivatives high yield, mild conditions, easy isolation purification products readily available starting materials. Besides, novel eco‐friendly such as photocatalytic reactions, metal–organic framework‐based metal‐free solvent‐free electrochemical have been reviewed. addition, patents current clinical trials triazoles discussed.
