Heat sinks are commonly used in electronic devices to dissipate heat from circuits. Phase change materials (PCMs) offer a viable solution for storing thermal energy during peak loads, helping delay temperature spikes and maintain the sink within safe operating limits. The objective of current study is evaluate storage characteristics PCMs sink. comprises structured porous material (SPM), analysis Paraffin wax Erythritol. conducted on composed SPMs integrated with enabled determination characteristics. evaluated FEA have shown superior absorption properties Erythritol as compared initial phases. At 50 s after simulation, absorbed by 89% higher than wax, whereas at stages, exhibited time intervals, i.e., 250 running 49% capacity This behavior both PCM can be attributed different specific capacities latent fusion temperatures. conductivity enables it absorb initially, which makes highly effective short-duration applications. has and, therefore, stores more prolonged periods, suitable applications demanding sustained management. findings suggested that rapid absorption, best option, suited longer duration storage.
