A one-dimensional organic – inorganic hybrid ferroelectric, (C 4 H 8 NH 2 ) [BiCl 5 ], exhibiting a dielectric-optical duple switch is reported. Theoretical study discloses that the ferroelectricity originates from both cations and anions.

Paraelectric-ferroelectric phase transitions have been mainly acknowledged by the order-disorder type in most molecular ferroelectrics or displacive inorganic ferroelectrics. However, reports regarding symmetry-breaking ferroelectric induced distortion coordination geometry scarce. In this study, we present a lithium complex [Li(1,10-phenanthroline)2]I, which undergoes an Aizu mmmFmm2 transition at 371 K. Its ferroelectricity has identified geometric of ions environment and concomitant directional movement iodide ions. Besides, loop [Li(1,10-phenanthroline)2]I can be readily obtained from polarized polycrystalline pellet room temperature; addition, its nonlinear optical signal is comparable to that KH2PO4 (KDP). Integrated multichannel response switches, characterized by their simple and compact structure, have a wide range of applications in the fields smart temperature sensors, communication devices. Starting from N,N-dimethylpropan-2-amine, this paper reports on three new perovskite materials introducing groups -OH -OMe through chemical design. All materials, namely, (DMIPA)PbBr3, (DMIPA-OH)PbBr3, (DMIPA-OMe)PbBr3, possess both enthalpic dielectric switching characteristics, with (DMIPA)PbBr3 (DMIPA-OH)PbBr3 also exhibiting second-harmonic-generation effects, achieving three-channel responses. Moreover, crystal structure analyses revealed that phase transitions are caused ordered-disordered motion cations. In addition, study has explored intrinsic semiconductor properties structures, optical band gaps being 3.305 eV for 3.233 3.179 (DMIPA-OMe)PbBr3. It is believed work will provide reference design synthesis integrated switches.

Low-dimensional hybrid organic–inorganic ferroelectric materials have attracted significant interest due to their outstanding optical and electrical properties. Nevertheless, many of the most extensively studied hybrids incorporate lead or tin, which raises concerns related long-term stability environmental sustainability. Here, by using quasi-spherical strategy, we designed obtained a series zero-dimensional indium metal compounds: [Me2CH2X(i-Pr)N][InBr4] (X = H, 1; F, 2; Cl, 3; Br, 4, respectively), based on halogen-substituted quaternary amines. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dielectric, second harmonic generation (SHG) measurement results show that these four compounds high-temperature phase transitions (above room temperature). properties were confirmed through piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) electric hysteresis loop (P-E) measurements. This research offers new ideas for advancement innovation future smart optoelectronic devices.
