Dengue virus represents a global public health threat, being prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions, with an increasing geographical distribution rising incidence worldwide. This mosquito-borne viral agent causes wide range of clinical manifestations, from mild febrile illness to severe cases potentially fatal outcomes due hemorrhage shock syndrome. The etiological agent, dengue (DENV), has four distinct serotypes, each capable inducing outcomes. current therapeutic landscape remains limited, management strategies mainly focused on supportive cares. However, recent advances pharmaceutical research have yielded promising developments anti-dengue drugs. Extensive investigations been conducted various synthetic compounds, including JNJ-1802, 1,4-pyran naphthoquinones, arylnaphthalene lignan derivatives. Additionally, natural compounds derived medicinal plants such as Hippophae rhamnoides, Azadirachta indica, Cymbopogon citratus demonstrated potential antiviral properties both vitro vivo studies, based inhibition DENV replication. none these are date approved by the U.S. Food Drug Administration (FDA). Although many vaccines recognized candidates stages trials, only limited number protective efficacy against infection. aspect underscores need for highly effective immunization interventions, whether botanical sources or through manufacturing, that exhibit low adverse effects. review examines innovative approaches prevention treatment, encompassing phytochemical strategies.

In recent years, the increasing prevalence of viral infections such as dengue (DENV) and chikungunya (CHIKV) has emphasized vital need for new diagnostic techniques that are not only quick inexpensive but also suitable point-of-care home usage. Existing procedures, while useful, sometimes have limits in terms speed, mobility, price, particularly resource-constrained environments during epidemics. To address these issues, this study proposes a novel technique combines 3D printing technology with electrochemical biosensors to provide highly sensitive, user-friendly, customizable platform. This focuses on unique 3D-printed electrode cassette made fused deposition modeling technology, which ensures strong structural alignment improved performance under variety environmental conditions. When combined paper-based electrodes loaded silver nanoparticles, platform dramatically enhances detection sensitivity reliability. The biosensor uses cyclic voltammetry impedance spectroscopy detect DENV CHIKV antigens within linear range 1 × 102 106 ng/mL. Results were delivered 20 s stable 30 days. device's was verified by testing blood serum samples containing both antigens, demonstrating its capacity properly identify coinfections. tool represents huge step forward accessible efficient healthcare solutions, bridging important gaps global battle against arboviral infections.
