Abstract The discovery of viruses that can devour bacteria, bacteriophages (phages), was in 1915. Phages are ubiquitous, outnumbering the organisms they devour, and genomically, morphologically, ecologically diverse. They were critical our development molecular biology biotechnology tools have been used as therapeutics for over 100 years, primarily Eastern Europe with thousands patients from all world treated Georgia. rise antimicrobial resistance lack new antimicrobials, has brought them back into spotlight dawning New Age Phage. This special issue will provide further insight to phage diversity across ecosystems, including humans, animals, plants, i.e. basis a One Health approach, requirements turning phages viable medicines many not just few.
