This enteropathy that affects small intestine has been related different disorders comorbidities. Thus, implications suffering from this are multidimensional need further consideration. serious condition remains under-recognized, resulting in an increased for programs better management. review aims summarize current evidence regarding diseases, special emphasis on clinical implications, diagnosis, management, socioeconomical aspects, future perspectives.

Celiac disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune disorder triggered by the ingestion of gluten-containing food genetically predisposed individuals. Hence, treatment CD consists permanent avoidance wheat, rye, barley, and other foods. Lifelong adherence to gluten-free diet (GFD) improves symptoms CD, but recent evidence suggests it also associated with higher risk for hepatic steatosis coexistence or emergence cardiometabolic factors. Moreover, liver reported some authors as potential extraintestinal complication itself. Recent nomenclature changes designate association between at least one five factors metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic (MASLD). An extended network potentially causative underlying MAFLD before after dietary therapy implemented, was recently described. The individualized these patients less supported evidence, most current recommendations relying on empiric clinical judgment. This review focuses associations injury, either an manifestation side effect GFD, referring therapeutic strategies

Background/Objectives: The Mediterranean diet (MD) reduces cardiovascular risk, which is higher in celiac disease (CD). We aimed to investigate adherence the MD newly diagnosed CD patients, patients on a gluten-free (GFD), and non-celiac control group. Additionally, we establish an association between GFD adherence. Methods: In this nested, cross-sectional Hungarian study, was assessed using Diet Score (MDS), Standardized Dietitian Evaluation (SDE). Results: A total of 215 subjects were enrolled, 128 for minimum 1 year, 24 63 non-CD healthy subjects. Although had mean MDS, groups did not differ statistically significantly from each other (CD GFD: 5.55 ± 1.57, CD: 5.35 1.81, controls: 6.05 1.73; p > 0.05)-all suboptimal scores. Both consumed fewer whole grains than controls (p < 0.001). Adequate associated with MDS (5.62 1.54 vs. 4.71 1.21, respectively; = 0.009). Conclusions: Our study highlights low insufficient consumption grains. Adherence better adherence, underlines role dietary education during follow-up. Targeted nutritional counseling could improve quality reduce risk.

ABSTRACT Methionine restriction (MR) has been found to alleviate the progression of diseases such as cognitive disorders and cancer, but it is not clear whether regulating methionine availability can have a beneficial effect on wheat gluten‐induced celiac disease. We aimed excavate effects MR toxic p31–43 gliadin peptide. In this study, we systematically investigated peptide‐induced oxidative damage, elevation tissue transglutaminase enzyme activity, overexpression inflammatory factors, increase permeability, T‐lymphocyte dysfunction by utilizing Caco‐2 epithelial cells lymphocytes derived from mouse mesenteric lymph nodes elucidate effectiveness MR. Moreover, potential mechanism innate adaptive immune regulation was explored with help S ‐adenosyl‐methionine (SAM), critical metabolic intermediate in cycle. discovered that effectively suppressed Furthermore, illustrated controlling role SAM regulate terms both gliadin‐induced responses could directly affect This study might offer novel insights for utilization disease (such interventions or gluten‐free diets specific content) well roles

carbohydrate intolerance presents a complex scenario where symptoms arise following the consumption of specific substrate and alleviate upon their elimination from diet. Lactose Intolerance is one most prevalent types food intolerance. Primary lactose linked to genetic factors, Lactase Non-Persistence phenotype, while secondary might be temporary condition resulting intestinal damage loss disaccharidase activity. Fructose absorption an energy-independent process, leading limited variable absorption. undergoes quick into bloodstream through active transporters, specifically GLUT-5 GLUT-2, found in initial segment small intestine. The management requires precise testing methods, accurate diagnostics, customized dietary interventions. Genetic plays crucial role determining individual's profile, helping decide whether permanent restrictions on nutrients, such as lactose, are necessary. this research aims understand origin suspected intolerance, combining with breath tests enhance efficacy treatment plans, interventions will based patient's profile capacity. combination (lactase non-persistence celiac disease risk) test for fructose were performed. Recommendations low or gluten-free diets; them provided each results. after nutritional intervention, significant improvement was noted all gastrointestinal symptoms, except reflux nausea, extraintestinal symptoms. designing primary causes can avoid unnecessary restrictions; improving patients' quality life effectiveness tailored
