Photobiomodulation (PBM) is the regulation of biological processes using light energy from sources such as lasers or light-emitting diodes. Components nervous system, brain and peripheral nerves, are important candidate PBM targets due to lack therapeutic modalities for complete cure neurological diseases. can be applied either regenerate damaged organs prevent reduce damage caused by disease. Although recent findings have suggested that neural cells regenerated, which contradicts our previous understanding, structures still thought weaker regenerative capacity than other systems. Therefore, enhancing system would aid future development therapeutics degeneration. has been shown enhance cell differentiation stem progenitor near-target target cells. In this review, we reviewed research on effects neurogenesis in central (e.g., animal brains) sensory structures) sought its potential a tool intractable degenerative disorders.

Abstract Background An accessible self‐assessment questionnaire is needed to evaluate quality of life in olfactory dysfunction. The need address this gap led the development brief version Questionnaire Olfactory Disorders (brief QOD), which holds particular value context telemedicine. Objectives aim study examine reliability and validity Arabic QOD. Methods This included 307 patients suffering from dysfunction as well a control group filled including demographic information, olfaction Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Sino‐nasal Outcome Test 22 (SNOT‐22) questionnaire, QOD's was assessed using Cronbach's α measure internal consistency. To test–retest reliability, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) employed. discriminative ability: score differences between two groups were analyzed. QOD evaluated by comparing it VAS. Results coefficients 0.757 for Disorders‐Parosmia (QOD‐P), 0.832 Disorders‐quality (QOD‐QoL), 0.817 Disorders‐visual analog scale (QOD‐VAS). overall 0.93. ICC exceeded acceptable threshold 0.7, indicating strong reliability. highest observed SNOT‐22 total scores ( r = 0.552 p < .001) VAS 0.512 .001). Conclusion Excellent have been shown tool assessing among patients. Level evidence NA.

Objective The development of treatments that promote the regenerative capacity olfactory epithelium (OE) is desirable. This study aimed to evaluate effects intranasal administration concentrated growth factors (CGFs) in a rat model dysfunction. Study design Animal study. Methods Nineteen male rats were used. Fourteen dysfunction models created by intraperitoneal 3-methylindole. We randomly divided from after 1 week into CGF or saline group; CGFs administered seven animals and animals. Behavioral assessments using avoidance test conducted until day 28 CGF/saline administration. On 28, histological evaluation was determine epithelial thickness marker protein (OMP)-positive cell count. Five intraperitoneally injected with as control group. Results rate remained decreased days administration, there no significant difference between two groups. Olfactory thicknesses on 38.64 ± 3.17 μm 32.84 4.50 groups, respectively. OE significantly thicker group than ( P = 0.013). numbers OMP-positive cells 40.29 9.77/1.0 × 10 4 2 31.00 3.69/1.0 number OMP+ increased compared 0.009). Both groups showed improvement (OE thickness: 54.08 3.36 μm; count: 56.90 9.91/1.0 104 ). Conclusions improved
