Deep eutectic solvents (DES) have emerged as a promising class of that offer unique properties and applications in various fields. The oxidation sulfide with readily available oxidants remains major challenge. Herein, we report straightforward efficient approach for selective sulfides to sulfones using only DES green solvent catalyst. A variety including dialkyl, aryl-alkyl, diaryl were selectively oxidized H2O2 good excellent yields at ambient temperature. This method emphasized, organic solvent-free, acid-free characteristics making it new, sustainable, eco-friendly way realize direct sulfones. showed stable catalytic performance through consecutive reuses recovered reused five times without decrease the reaction yield.

Abstract Organic peroxides (ROOR′), solid or liquid with the bivalent OO structure. Relatively unstable and highly reactive molecules due to presence of an oxygen–oxygen linkage. The bond may be cleaved form free radicals react many substances (e.g., metals, acids, bases). ROORs are used in plastics, rubbers, industries as initiators, accelerators, promoters, catalysts, activators, more. Major concerns associated fires, explosions, corrosiveness. Reactive oxygen species lead DNA damage mutagenesis. Recent work from government agents, academic research laboratories, manufacturing organizations have focused on physical hazards classification categorization; producing best practice protocols for safe handling storage, control temperatures, self‐accelerating decomposition spills cleaning, disposal, treatment residues. These efforts allow compliance countries international regulations. Potential health eye skin contact, inhalation, ingestion. Acute exposure irritation, allergic response, potential skin. As any irritant corrosive, dose is a critical consideration respect understanding risk. Chronic exposures, mostly understood animals but there human data, can cause myriad effects. range respiratory illnesses, liver, kidney damage, cancer. manufacturer's SDS individual chemical provide toxicity information.
