Abstract The visualization method for mechanics knowledge in civil engineering courses is very important, which can help students learn abstract mechanics. Combined with the structural analysis software, this paper develops a teaching approach mechanical structures based on proposed deformation decomposition method, such as elastic mechanics, material and dynamics. Compared traditional strain more intuitive identify macroscopic basic deformations. By aid of survey undergraduate master students, effectiveness course higher than that blackboard writing course. Besides, Mann–Whitney test results show there significant difference. proportion think combination has good effects are greater those students. be promoted engineering.

Engineering Graphics is a fundamental course that requires strong spatial visualization skills to interpret 2D representations and translate them into 3D models. Traditional teaching methods often rely on static diagrams, which pose challenges for students in grasping complex geometries. This chapter explores the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) as an innovative pedagogical tool enhance conceptual understanding engagement education. An AR-enabled booklet, developed at LJ University, allows scan diagrams interact with real-time models using mobile application. interactive approach reduces cognitive load, improves skills, fosters engaging learning experience.
