A simple analytical model for the analysis of diffuse small-angle scattering data is proposed in this work to characterize structure colloidal suspensions water mixtures organic solvents and amphiphiles. fractal factor term describing low q region was incorporated function, which includes a particle diameter variable within power-law decay intensity as function vector. Tetrahydrofuran (THF) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) are miscible in water due to hydrogen (H) bonding. Amphiphilic glycerol sucrose esters with a different number of tails heads separate them, depending on the organic solvent concentration. Diisopropylamine (DIPA), aminomethyl propanol (AMP), amino ethoxy ethanol (AEE), diethanolamine (DEA), ethanolamine (EA), pyridine (PYR) and methyl (MDEA) are used for carbon capture to sweeten sour gas, found in groundwater. Interactions between amines have not been studied, but can strongly affect function of taurine. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy indicates SO…HN hydrogen bonding taurine DIPA, AMP, AEE, DEA, EA MDEA. These interactions induce formation hydrophobic amine-taurine clusters, thus decreasing amine miscibility water, as revealed by light scattering. This effect most marked leading turbid mixtures indicative micron-sized droplets. PYR likely interact via S…N bonding. study offers insights regarding potential mechanisms toxicity humans.
