A droplet with a viscosity ratio λ>1 shows an overshoot phenomenon in start-up shear flow, where its maximum deformation exceeds the steady-state deformation. We numerically investigate of ferrofluid flow at moderate and high ratios under uniform magnetic field perpendicular to plane. The can lead breakup for (λ∈[1,4]). However, imposing suppresses this overshoot, allowing reach steady state. Moreover, deforms into another state after turning off field. temporary due λ>2.5 Bond number Bo=4.0. exhibits oscillatory decay (λ∼O(10)). effects plane on damping response are examined. When amplitude is normalized using first peak value, curves peaks be organized as single curve by employing capillary cross-sectional radius (x,z)-plane, which reduced primarily governed radius.
