The accelerating development of the forage industry and land resources finiteness require high-efficient cropping strategies. To investigate nutritive quality mixed crop cultivation, a three-round field test two double-cropping systems (DCSs) based on maize (Dongdan 60 Dongdan 1331) sorghum (1230 cfsh30) as summer alfalfa preceding winter were compared. This study investigated impact value silage fermentation quality. M-A system (alfalfa following maize) outperformed S-A sorghum) in (by 2.81 M 2.22 A), crude ash 0.94% 3.5% phosphorus content 0.1% 0.17% potassium 0.47% 0.41% A). Within M-A, (M1)–alfalfa WL525 (A) combination under suitable sowing condition (D1) achieved best exhibiting, not only highest Flieg score (88.17 M1 92.5 A) but also (6.71% 11.82% (0.38% 0.48% (1.68% 1.55% Delayed reduced nutrient accumulation altered profiles, highlighting importance timely sowing. revealed that rotation is promising strategy to optimize

Many barriers prevent ranchers from supporting prescribed fire on grazing leases or their own land. Barriers include negative perceptions of resources limitations, and fear liability. We surveyed ranching landowners around four National Grasslands in North South Dakota—public grazinglands managed by the USDA Forest Service—to assess landowner attitudes towards provide insight into to using burning Grasslands. Respondents reported being motivated an interest stewardship want managers prioritize sound science decision-making But respondents generally had little awareness potential benefits. With respect fire, specifically, greatest degree trust activity and/or information Pheasants Forever county Extension, lowest Service. Despite proximity public grazingland, where risk resource for would be borne Service, disagreed that use should increased stated a lack readiness conduct burns ranches. As primary these communities appear perceptions, educational materials trusted sources opportunities engage with might help explain when appropriate landscape aid understanding between entities like those who are concerned about use.
