The prevalence of poor mental health in university students is extremely concerning, and first-generation (FGSs) may be more vulnerable to problems than continuing-generation (CGSs). Abstract Purpose This study investigated the associations between retrospective reports of body image victimization (i.e. shaming) perpetrated by peers and parents during childhood or adolescence, food alcohol disturbance (FAD) in young adulthood, considering possible mediating role psychological distress subthreshold symptoms anxiety depression).
