Currently, there are 82 medical schools in Japan. The combined enrollment capacity of nationwide stands at 9,217. Students eligible to enter school upon graduation from senior high school. standard undergraduate education curriculum Japan spans six years. Model Core Curriculum for Medical Education (MCC), developed by the Ministry Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), serves as guideline all curricula. Common Achievement Tests Organization (CATO) conducts Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) schools. Accreditation Council (JACME), formally recognized World Federation (WFME), is responsible accreditation National Practitioners, administered Health, Labour Welfare (MHLW) held annually, a paper-based examination which examinees answer multiple-choice questions. After graduating obtaining license, individuals progress two-year basic postgraduate clinical training program. Upon completion, they advance three-to-five-year specialty phase. lifelong learning physicians overseen respective societies Association. Current issues facing include bloated curricula, faculty members' busy schedules burdens, educational disparities admission selection, uneven distribution specialties. author believes that should continue evolve reflect future changes society.
