In 2020, Australian Catholic churches closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, but there has been little qualitative data published on the lived experience of churchgoing Catholics in this period. Data from 175 survey participants who left responses describing their worship experiences as part a larger project revealed five major themes: 'Church and State', 'Blessings disguise', 'Polarisation', 'Future proofing', 'Loss'. Respondents expressed diverse range views about church leadership, lockdowns, conspiracy theories, merits deficits online worship, own thriving or suffering during closures.

Aging continues irrespective of event, location, and time; it is a process that does not stop or pause. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted the community older adults as profoundly any other community. However, communities are homogenous different in their own ways (e.g., digital immigrant baby boomers who generally tech-savvy native millennials (Gen Y) zoomers Z); have higher risk morbidity mortality, lower physical strength mobility, greater vulnerability to public health crises compared younger counterparts). As COVID-19 becomes endemic, an opportune time reflect on lessons learned from for healthy seamless aging. Healthy living is crucial in achieving active and successful aging. As the aging population growing rapidly, improving healthy lifestyle behaviors important. This study aimed to explore factors affecting a older Iranian adults. We used content analyses as approach. conducted in-depth individual semi-structured interviews focus group discussions with open-ended questions between October 2020 April 2021. Using purposive snowball sampling techniques, participants were selected from community dwellings of adults experts various health system levels. A qualitative thematic analysis approach was for data analysis. Factors categorized into five themes, including factors, cultural religious social economic policy divided 17 subthemes. Results highlighted need holistic view all dimensions adults' lifestyles. Enhancing lifestyles could have greater impact than addressing multiple risk costly strategies. Thus, policies should strongly emphasize identified that are contextually relevant.

COVID-19 had a significant impact on older South Africans' experience of social support. This cross-sectional study explored possible risk and protective factors support among community-dwelling adults (N = 118). Social pre- to during decreased significantly; however, overall was greater for those who were older, more face-to-face contact, number friends or relatives. Maintaining mobility: how productive aging affects driving among older drivers DOI

There is a lack of research on whether participating in productive aging (PA) activities affects driving among older adults and each PA activity's independent effect driving. This study aims to assess how affect frequency using the social ecological model. Ordinal regression was used analyze data from National Health Aging Trends Study (n = 4655). We examined participation perceived importance activity were related frequency. Higher observed who worked for pay, provided care, visited friends family, went out enjoyment, had higher participation. Alternative transportation services programs could be implemented ensure safety, mobility, as population continues age.

This article studies the ways coronavirus pandemic impacts on spirituality of seniors in Quebec. The methodological approach follows two stages: 1- a theoretical and systematized search databases (integrative review); 2- field approach, combining meeting senior experts, followed by questionnaire. results highlighted recurrence feeling loneliness confrontation with unknown, which resulted disoriented state being that challenges existential meaning. elders responded to unknown caused pandemic, regaining control their through awareness-raising work, led them discern importance reworking lives spiritual level. Pandemics, such as the outbreak of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in March 2020, have a negative impact on older persons’ (60 years and older) physical mental health. Research effects Covid-19 experience loneliness self-reported social support has predominately originated from Global North. Applying strengths perspective, present study aimed to determine compare among South African persons during pandemic. A cross-sectional survey was operationalised collect data community-dwelling (n = 139) residing residential care facilities 99) through purposive sampling across five provinces. scale used measure respondents’ overall loneliness, including emotional loneliness. availability four domains.
