This narrative review summarizes current research published in 2024 on aging and death anxiety. The prevalence has ranged from 20 to 33% based the severity of experience. Aging anxiety have been noted negative effects including a reduction work passion, psychological spiritual well-being resilience as well poor health, anxiety, PTSD, depression suicidality. Predictors/ risk factors include female gender, loneliness, climate change general, chronic health conditions. Buffers for having meaning life, religiosity taking psychedelics. Interventions both therapies (cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive therapy dialectical behavior therapy) alternative (Reiki tai chi). Some methodological limitations questionable reliability online surveys with old adults, wide variety scales used assess absence physiological biochemical measures that might suggest potential underlying biological mechanisms
