Pumping viscous fluids using centrifugal pumps in the subsea industry is very common. The pump performance degrades drastically when viscosity of increases, which ultimately gives rise to installation and oil production cost. Their design optimization can lead a significant improvement their performance. Therefore, this study presented effect impeller geometry on pumping fluid through optimization. Here, operation simulated numerically by solving Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations at different flowrates. Experimental testing also performed same oils, for numerical validation. Artificial neural-network-assisted multiobjective was with two independent parameters; wrap angle splitter blade length impeller, head input power as objective functions.
