Results final total 275 underwent indicated that all ages, caregivers experience PTSS. gap in identified child (< 18) older adult (65+) caregivers. At other most found elevated Small variations number finding ranges. Conclusions Posttraumatic appear experienced However certain groups are under‐researched. Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the association between post-traumatic stress (PTS) and growth (PTG). Three major issues could account for this inconsistency: (1) lack of information about mental health problems before disaster, (2) concept PTG is still under scrutiny potentially being an illusionary perception personal (3) overlooking PTS comorbidities as time-dependent confounding factors. To address these issues, we explored associations with trauma-related diseases examined using marginal structural models to confounding, considering pre-disaster covariates, among older survivors 2011 Japan Earthquake Tsunami.

The study explored the interplay between PTG and PTSS in older South African adults exposed to trauma. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed. 195 participants from a low-resourced setting Africa were interviewed using UCLA Life Adversities Screener, PTSD Checklist (DSM-5), PTG-Inventory. Hayes Model SPSS Macro PROCESS for moderation used. Higher levels mitigated effect on PTSS.
