This study aimed to investigate the association of chrononutrition indices with circadian preferences and mental health in adults. Data 234 adults was collected online from November 2023 February 2024. In order determine preferences, sleep quality conditions, specific validated scales were used. The associations body mass index (BMI) assessed by multiple linear regression models, adjusted for age sex. Breakfast, lunch, evening eating jet lag participants 1.8 (1.5) h, 1.3 (1.1) 0.4 (0.9) 1.0 respectively. Eating window 12.30 ± 1.51 h/day. Among variables analysed, depression negatively associated on weekend (β=-0.179, p = 0.008), eveningness positively midphase (β 0.181, 0.002). Results suggest that among are

We investigated the association of chronotype and sleep behaviors with mental well-being, eating behaviors, adiposity traits among a sample urban Malaysian adults at Sunway University College, Selangor, Malaysia. A total 167 participants were recruited (male/female = 46/121; aged 22.0 ± 5.2). Chronotype was assessed via reduced Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (rMEQ). Participants tracked their using an activity wristband (Xiaomi® Mi Smart Band 5), recorded smartphone screen time usage. Psychometric measures – WHO-5 Well-being Index, Cognitive Distortion (CDQUEST), Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire-R18, Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS), Power Food Scale. Blood pressures (BP), anthropometrics, body composition like high waist circumference (WC), waist-hip ratio (WHR), waist-to-height (WHtR), mass index (BMI) visceral fat level (VFL) also measured. Men women did not differ significantly in terms except Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. Longer weekday deep sleeps correlated better well-being scores, while longer weekend awake during greater cognitive distortion (higher CDQUEST scores). average lower Restraint (CR) but higher Available scores. Higher rMEQ scores (indicating morningness) BSCS Total scores; decreased systolic diastolic BP specifically men. Evening-type had up to six-fold risk becoming obese, having WC, WHR, VFL; however, significance abolished after adjustment for socio-demographics. Indeed, weight, WHtR, BMI, VFL, resting metabolism evening-types by analysis covariance. Impulsivity neither-types. Lifestyle factors associated or behaviors. Although between sexes, those morning overall, central adiposity, self-control. Those good appetitive In conclusion, this study supports continuous advocacy morning-chronotype physical health.

We investigated the association of chrononutrition, sleep behavior, and chronotype with adiposity appetite sensations among 220 Malaysian adults (M/F = 57/163; aged 22.02 ± 5.19). Meal times, dietary intake, (before after meals) were recorded for two weekdays one weekend. Sleep behavior was tracked objectively via activity wristband, assessed by Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire, anthropometrics/body compositions measured. Overall participants had significantly later breakfast, lunch, eating midpoint, wake up time, duration, compared to weekdays. Those who belonged delay jetlag group higher weekday, but lower weekend windows. Larger caloric intake in day associated body mass adiposity. Delay lunch class waist-hip ratio. Delayed morning afternoon chrononutrition behaviors hunger thoughts, fullness pre- post-meals. Morningness satisfaction post-breakfast, same pre-dinner. In conclusion, larger advanced led adiposity, while delayed behaviours post-meal sensations.

Abstract Background During pregnancy, physiological changes can affect eating and sleeping habits, which may eventually have negative consequences for maternal foetal health. To better understand these changes, it is essential to develop a reliable questionnaire that addresses lifestyle habits such as snacking daytime napping. This study aimed determine the validity reliability of Chrononutrition Profile Questionnaire-Pregnancy (CPQ-P). Methods A total 399 women in their second third trimester pregnancy were recruited from government child health clinics Kuala Lumpur Putrajaya completed self-administered online questionnaire. Content was conducted with an expert panel consisting 4 members. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) using maximum likelihood construct validity. Internal consistency determined by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient (CAC), while test-retest intraclass correlation (ICC). Results The had appropriate content index 0.91. CPQ-P consists 22 items, measuring 5 constructs, including morning chrono-habits, evening eating, temporal symptoms. model showed good fit χ 2 /df = 2.486, GFI 0.893, CFI 0.912, RMSEA 0.065. items fair excellent (ICC: 0.42 0.98). constructs found internal (α 0.612–0.963). Conclusions valid tool assessing during pregnancy. be used identify areas where pregnant need additional support or intervention adopt healthy behaviours reduce risk adverse outcomes. Adolescents are an at-risk group for circadian misalignment. The contribution of sleep-wake rhythm instability to the psychoemotional, cognitive, and weight disorders adolescents has been studied in sufficient detail. At same time, there is insufficient information about association between chrononutrition indices well-being adolescents. aim this study investigate relationship academic achievement, psychoemotional state, anthropometric indicators involved 12,759 students grades 6-11 secondary schools, aged 14.2 ± 1.7 years old; 57.2% whom were girls. Participants provided personal data, frequency time meals during day at night, on weekdays weekends, completed Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale Yale Food Addiction Scale. There a U-shaped eating mid-phase (EPFc), jetlag (EJL), window (EW) with GPA, ZSDSI, FA. night (NE) linearly associated parameters. NE strongest predictor ZSDSI (β = 0.24), FA 0.04), GPA -0.22). Abstract Background We investigated the association of chrononutrition (circadian timing food intake) and sleep behavior (sleep time, wake up duration) variabilities, chronotype with adiposity traits appetite sensations among a sample urban Malaysian adults at Sunway City. Methods A total 220 participants (M/F = 57/163; aged 22.02 ± 5.19), recorded their meal times, dietary intake, (via Visual Analogue Scale) before after meals, for two weekdays one weekend. Sleep was tracked objectively using an activity wristband, while assessed by Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire. Anthropometrics body compositions like waist circumference (WC), waist-hip ratio (WHR), mass index (BMI), fat (TBF), visceral level (VFL), skeletal muscle percentage (SM) resting metabolism (RM) were measured. Results Chrononutrition behaviors did not differ significantly between genders, but overall had later breakfast, lunch, eating midpoint, duration, lunch afternoon latencies during weekend, compared to weekdays. Those who belonged delay jetlag group higher weekday, lower weekend windows. Larger caloric intake in day associated BMI, TBF VFL, SM. Interestingly, days skipping breakfast WC, WHR, RM. Delay classes WHR SM, respectively. Delayed morning hunger thoughts, fullness pre- post-meals. The satisfaction post-breakfast, same pre-dinner. Conclusions In conclusion, our study found that larger advanced led adiposity, which could be due post-meal healthier chronotype. However, notion breakfast-skipping leading obesity supported. Here, we offered new insights into modern sleeping habits influencing sensations.
