Our analysis revealed negative correlation overall ( r = −0.259; 95% CI: −0.29, −0.24; p < 0.01). Notably, high-risk populations exhibited stronger association −0.302) compared students −0.263) population −0.219). Furthermore, depression −0.304) was significantly than for generalized anxiety −0.238) stress −0.220), underscoring critical role family this period. These findings suggest positively influences its effectiveness may be more limited anticipated. As continues impact well-being, there is an urgent need targeted strategies enhance in addressing challenges. research highlights importance prioritizing mechanisms public responses future crises.

This longitudinal study examines young adult mental health (MH) trajectories after exposure to natural disasters (i.e., hurricanes, wildfires, mudslides) across four waves, two pre- and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants (n = 205) answered questions about anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSSs) Waves (Ws) s 1–4 pre-pandemic factors (prior trauma history, disaster exposure, life stressors since disaster) at Wave (W) 1. Hierarchical linear modeling was conducted examine MH associations with factors. Only PTSS trajectory significantly differed all Ws, largest increase between Ws 2 3 (pre- during-pandemic time points). Prior history were associated intercepts but not growth rates.

Methods Using cross-sectional design, convenient sampling was employed select 997 first fourth-year from Jishou University for self-reported survey. Measures included assessments of physical activity, toughness, support, basic demographic variables. Descriptive statistics, correlations, moderated mediation model were conducted. Results negatively correlated with anxiety positively toughness. Mental mediating relationship between certain extent. Social latter part mediated pathways. Conclusion correlates students. mediates while moderates stages this (mental → anxiety).

This study offers new insights into college students' health education (CSHE) regarding its research status, hot spots, and trends by conducting a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of this field in the past decade (2014 to 2024). Specifically, we analyzed publication used method with CiteSpace software explore collaborative networks, detailed co-citation co-occurrence dynamics based on 1358 Web Science Core Collection articles. Our results indicate increased relevant publications collaboration networks show complex institutional regional partnerships. At same time, analyses highlight interdisciplinary themes that encompass public health. The particularly underscores emerging importance mental health, global innovative educational approaches. These findings reveal CSHE provide crucial for future studies, stressing need creative strategies tackle student challenges. Moreover, practice, contributes promoting practicing targeted intervention policies countermeasures aimed at enhancing well-being, such as establishing dedicated courses, providing specialized training teachers, regular assessments, funding CSHE.
