AbstractThe linkages between water insecurity and human health have been of long-standing research interest to geographers, especially those studying the human–environment dimensions health. This article contributes this scholarship by demonstrating how insecure access irrigation produces differentiated bodily effects for women. Data come from empirical field work using interviews, focus group discussions, drone-based participatory mapping, community validation workshops. Grounded in literature on embodiment intersectional feminist political ecology through firsthand experiences women their struggles secure water, makes two main contributions. First, it demonstrates drones could be innovatively integrated into qualitative better understand interactions. Second, shows that space time are critical understanding embodied insecurity. More specifically, different irrigators experience depending where irrigated fields located. Compared with plots near canals, further afield more debilitating pains limbs, waist, hips as they struggle water. Overall, article’s findings highlight uneven geographies warrant closer attention scholars hydrosocial relations Key Words: embodiment, ecology, intersectionality, security.
