While Ego‐Dissolution Inventory (EDI) widely acknowledged instrument measuring this phenomenon, no Japanese version been available. This study aimed to develop EDI. Methods We adhered “Guidelines Best Practices in Translation and Cultural Modification Process Patient‐Reported Outcomes Instruments: Document from ISPOR Committee on Modification” during our translation approach. Two psychiatrists independently conducted initial translations, consolidated was achieved via mutual agreement. then back‐translated English assessed by original authors consistency. The repetitive modification process continuous dialogues with until they accepted concluding version. Results finalized, approved EDI presented accompanying figure. In addition, authorized included Appendix. Conclusions study, we successfully developed will assist assessing ego‐dissolution experiences associated psychedelic‐assisted therapy among speakers. Additional studies are necessary evaluate reliability validity newly translated instrument.
