The advancement of modern concretes, such as printable concrete, fluid concrete with adapted rheology, and ultra-high-performance has increased the importance understanding structural build-up in cement-based materials. This process, which describes time-dependent evolution rheological properties, is a key factor to ensure stability by influencing segregation, bleeding, formwork pressure, numerical modeling, multi-layer casting. As result, cementitious materials become significant area research recent years. cement based-materials results from both reversible part (thixotropic behavior), driven colloidal interactions, an irreversible part, caused hydration formation C-S-H bridges. Various experimental techniques have been developed investigate these processes, various factors affecting thixotropic behavior overall suspensions. review provides comprehensive analysis current pastes. It covers measurement methods factors, including water-to-binder ratio (w/b), admixtures, temperature, supplementary (SCMs). By consolidating existing knowledge identifying gaps, this aims contribute development sustainable, high-performance suitable for construction techniques.
