The global epidemic of overweight and obesity appears alongside numerous diseases. As electronic personal health information (ePHI) technology becomes more prevalent, understanding its relationship with behaviors how this may differ across physical groups increasingly relevant. Using secondary data from the National Cancer Institute's Health Information Trends Survey (HINTS) 2020, study examined relationships between ePHI use, preventive (e.g., activity, alcohol consumption, diet control), risk perception obesity, considering body weight as a potential moderator. patterns use differed behavior types groups. Higher was associated increased activity (b = 5.98, bp 0.44, p < .01) control 0.03, 0.28, OR 1.11, .001), while no significant observed consumption. weaker among obese group -0.03, -0.11, .05). indirect varied by weight, showing stronger associations in underweight (95% CI [0.03, 2.77]) [-1.14, -0.04]). findings suggest limited than previously anticipated. Physical dietary regulation showed modest consumption relationship. Overweight individuals did not show higher or greater engagement compared to those healthy weight. These highlight importance developing nuanced technology's role health-related contexts.

Guided by the health information model and pathway of communication, this study investigates relationship between different acquisition (seeking/scanning) healthy lifestyle behaviors in a nationally representative, cross-sectional sample cancer survivors ( N = 567) China. A moderated mediation was employed to explore mediating roles patient-centered communication (PCC) patient trust physicians behaviors. The also examined moderating role system trust. Results indicate that seeking scanning positively correlate with (i.e. fruit vegetable consumption) via PCC Moreover, moderates PCC. These findings contribute psychology literature highlight importance care managing self-health, especially within Chinese healthcare context.
